I loved everything. No complaints at all

Totally loved the cottages. Comfortable bed, and so cozy.

The only thing was, the light switch in the kitchen was too short for me, it needs a bit more length, in unit 1

We seemed to have scored the only cottage that had several steps (the booking.com room, perhaps) - at the front door and also inside at the back. Several steep steps down to get to the bathroom and the back door. Had to be careful.

Clean and very comfy renovated historic miners cottage. The 2 BR cottage was well heated and had everything we needed, but the bathroom was small and a small glass shelf above the hand basin, although useful got in the way. It would have been better placed on the end wall.

    The receptionist.

The cottage was beautiful. Receptionist was bordering on rude. Unpleasant manner. Very off putting.

Very quirky place to stay. We thoroughly enjoyed staying in the old cottage. It was a bit cold and dark when we arrived but next morning the sun flooded in and it was a whole different place. We had an exceptional meal at the hotel five minutes walk away

Heritage buildings, being saved from demolition and used for similar purpose for what they were built to do. Except tourist use them rather than miners.

Clean, comfortable bed, nice lounge and kitchenette area. Better for a family than a motel room, and could comfortably stay a week. And a super price compared to what is charged by some basic motels, or even some caravan parks.

Cottages could have more shade over outdoor sitting areas. Oven could have been useful but we made do with the cook top and microwave.

Location - easy walk into town and to a few historical sites. Kids loved the playground and creek across the road. Cottages were very clean, comfortable and well equipped. Set up of cottages were great for a group with the communal grass area and each cottage having an outdoor sitting area. Photos online don't do this place justice.

Front door scraped so hard to open and close. Cottage 1 had no WiFi. You had to go outside and walk a few doors down to access it. Reception refused to do anything about it, as other cottages were not having problems!

Spacious, excellently restored restored, clean, convenient.
