Just about OK for a weekend. Didn't eat there.

Building is quite run down and lots of people in it that look very poor. Probably wouldn't stay again, nicer hotels further down the road.

Room was nice size on 3rd floor. Kept find bugs on bed that thankfully weren't bedbugs but still worrying, probably from the window above the bed. Was OK for location but the building very much needs updating.

Upon arrival, the room looked well cleaned but we later found some rubbish had been missed behind one of the bedside tables. Similarly, the sheets looked well made until we untucked the duvet to find the bedding was not properly made, which was disappointing. Also, the bin in the room is quite small and they do not offer cleanings during your stay, you can only request for one the day before you arrive. However, the main problem was the bathroom - the shower/bath water temperature was very hard to control, went from extreme heat to extreme cold, and the water flow would suddenly go weak at times, making the experience unpleasant. Our shower curtain railing also fell off during our stay, but it was fixed the next day. Overall, the shower facilities and cleanliness aren’t the best, but manageable.

We were given a complimentary sea-view room. The hotel lounge was lovely and available with free wifi all day, it also had some arcade games and a bar. They served a buffet breakfast and dinner, and more food and snacks throughout the day. We had a chance to watch an event they had on too - ballroom / line dancing - which was very interesting. They also hosted bingo every night. The staff were very polite and helpful. The pool was quite small but clean and quite empty when we went (an hour before closing).

The room (not premium) was facing inland. This means hearing the noisy aircon of all the ground floor facilities which runs non-stop and is so noisy you can't keep the window open overnight. Thankfully we were on the fourth floor; had we been closer to the air con I doubt we would have been able to sleep as the windows don't close well. So servicing of the rooms if you stay more than one night. Walls so thin you can hear everything from the room next door which made my teenage daughter feel very uncomfortable. Bedding very thin and overused, furniture falling apart and the extractor fan in the bathroom not working.

Friendly staff who worked incredibly hard to accommodate everyone over the bank holiday weekend.

You get what you pay for but in terms of service and maintenance there is room for improvement!

The furniture was old and partly broken (one leg of the bed was barely hanging on, the headboard of the bed fell off (it wasn't fixed to the bed but to the wall) so for safety reasons, after putting it back, we slept with our heads on the foot end of the bed, just in case it came down again in the night. The extractor fan in the bathroom was not working but one had to close the bathroom door whilst showering to avoid the steam setting off the smoke alarm. There was no servicing of the rooms, no fresh towels or change of cups and even the rubbish bag I left outside the door remained uncollected so I took it to the reception myself. As there were no cleaning utensils in the room, the bathroom sink became unsightly as we were unable to clean it ourselves. Not the service you'd expect in a hotel. The FREE Wifi WAS NOT WORKING except in the lobby, the daily 'premium' rate was £7 - very disappointing!

The staff were friendly and professional. The room was clean and tidy when we arrived.

Room not particularly clean, sheets had mildew stains on them, bedbug catchers under the beds, bits of tissue on the bathroom floor, hard bed, crazy high bunk beds for kids - top bunk no headroom, other guests very noisy. Just needed somewhere to stay before early channel tunnel crossing, hadn't clocked this one had casino, entertainment etc which meant people back and forth at all times.

    Easy enough to find

The double bed was 2 singles pushed together. This created a hard ridge in the middle so I had to sleep on one side or the other. Might as well have just had a single bed in the room. Really really uncomfortable.

    Great location. Friendly staff.

    See above

Staff were friendly and helpful but hotel is very run down. Car parking facilities awful! No way could we get a space. All rather rough. Shower did not really work in one room and whilst we asked to be close together one room floor 2 and the other was floor 7. We therefore had to split up with one adult and one child in each room. The hotel is more like a hostel and there are definitely no frills. Having said that the beds were comfortable and staff very accommodating. Won’t stay there again but certainly have some memories!
