Staff phony. Breakfast poor service and quality. The whole hotel seemed misplaced lacking the soul of the town of Oban.

A charming ‘old world’ hotel. A lovely experience with a step back in time. Slightly aging, but retains a romantic charm. It’s best to request a seaside room, as the views are beautiful and the rooms generous in size.

My guests were a bit disappointed that the pool and sauna were closed as several were looking forward to enjoying it after a long travel day.

Rooms were lush and perfect for us and our guests - everyone remarked on how happy they were with their stay. Breakfast and all the options were a perfect start to our next day of long travel. Hospitality and assistance of staff was key in making our stay with 25 guests smooth and the staff (Tina, especially) went above and beyond ensuring this. We'll definitely be back (already making plans) again with another group.

Only a limited range of meals available in evening

Good range of food available at breakfast. Only a limited range of meals available in restaurant in evening but two meals I had were of high quality. Bit of a walk into centre of Oban which was farther than expected

Breakfast staff were rushed off their feet, and glasses and plates and juice was short of supply. There was, also ants on window sill and crawled over table

We had a front room overlooking the bay which was beautiful,however we were disturbed throughout the night by people in the dome at the front of the hotel drinking and messing about on the front lawns ,including urinating which was very concerning,this went on all night until about 5am when the group(mainly young men)finally left! Other than this we gad an enjoyavle stay and staff were extremely curteous and apologised profusely for the disturbance.

It was very clean and comfortable but it was very dated, nothing was worn out out just old fashioned.

The room had a sea view and was very comfortable, the bed was massive and very comfortable too. The bathroom was functional but a bit dated. We did not eat in the hotel in the evening and because of a change of ferry time we were unable to have breakfast as they started too late. They did provide an excellent breakfast pack of sandwiches, fruit and drink for us to take with us. There was limited parking at the front but there was a large car park in the rear.

Just a Lack of ashtray in outdoor seating areas

The bed was so comfortable and the Hotel and room was spotlessly clean. The staff are so friendly .Lovley water with orange awaiting at reception. Breakfast self service was hot and tasty. The pool was an added bonus and was free at point of use and not £5 as other posts mentioned All in all a very wonderful stay.

Hotel understaffed on a Saturday night. Three staff running reception, restaurant and bar. Long wait for meal. Staff tried their best, but under extreme pressure. Long wait and poor service detracted from stay.
