I was disappointed with our room. There was no view. It was noisy due to what sounded like a pump outside the windows. I found a cheaper price on a site too which was annoying.

Phyllis Court Members Club is quintessentially English - croquet on the lawn and afternoon tea. The grounds are lovely, being situated next to the River Thames. It is so peaceful, and one can sit by the river and while away the hours in the idyllic surroundings. The property itself was clean. The bathroom was a good size with a deep bath, excellent shower and Noble Isle toiletries. My husband enjoyed having use of the snooker room. Breakfast in The Orangery was very good with a choice of food. We also dined there on the second evening of our stay. The food was excellent and the staff were friendly.

That’s it’s too far away from my home to fully take advantage of being a member . It’s amazing .

Located on the banks of the Thames at Henley, with the beautiful town being only a five minute walk through the grounds. This is a private members Hotel, the members contribute to its upkeep and running, so, certain standards of dress are expected, no,scruffy jeans, open sandals TShirts a dinner, nothing unreasonable . Our, room, was perfectly comfortable, a standard twin , the cheapest room - but the views exceptional , with a veranda over the Thames. Room facilities were as stated. A larger room is available obviously. Reception staff could not have been more helpful or polite Residents were very friendly and welcoming and proud off their space. Breakfast was very well indeed, cooked to perfection and plentiful. Henley it’s self has an abundance of restaurants, a food lovers paradise,, we dined at The Square a most excellent and very very reasonable Portuguese . When comparing other hotels in Henley for location , views, facilities and grandeur there really isn’t any comparison price wise we were amazed at this place and really considered ourselves fortunate to have stayed ! We highly rated The Phylis and would definitely return .

Unfortunately our room wasn’t the best. Very small. Hotel was full so we couldn’t change the first night. If you get chance pay extra for a river view/bigger room

The leisure facilities were of a fitness club variety as apposed to a relaxing spa. There was clear information on booking about the strict dress code for the restaurant in the club in the evening. There was a link about a dress code but took me to a page about Henley regatta.

Nothing really. We arrived on bank holiday Monday 6 May. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed for the evening and we hadn’t been notified. Not a problem as plenty of places to eat in Henley.

Peaceful setting overlooking the River Thames. Well kept grounds and plenty of parking.

My only complaint was that the rooms were overheated. So much so that it interrupted our sleep.

Some of the bedrooms are dated. It’s a members club and not all the members like new visitors. A little pompous for example one of our party had jeans on standing outside on the terrace for one drink before leaving the venue and a member said did we know the rules. Which we did that’s why we standing on the terrace 🤷‍♀️ he didn’t take into account his party we’re all in denim but they were not blue🙈 But the majority were nice.

Location is perfect for Henley. Facilities were fab. Good food and drinks.

We loved everything!

A beautifully stylish and impressive establishment. Excellent decor throughout. Wonderful bars and restaurants. Our Dinner was absolutely superb. Breakfast was included in our room rate and was plentiful and delicious with a comprehensive range of items to suit everyone. The staff were utterly delighted and could not do enough to make our stay extremely enjoyable. Our room was spotless and comfortable. On-site free parking provided. We would definitely return.

What's not to like, We enjoyed the whole experience.

Probably the most English place I have ever stayed - Note there are dress code rules for some parts of the club - Excellent location just a short walk into Henley - Room was small, but nicely decorated and the bed was comfortable. Nice balcony and lovely view of the river - Breakfast was very good. Best poached eggs I’ve had in a while
