From a very personal point of view I would have liked access to a small fridge for my medication. I was advised that this was available for the deluxe rooms but perhaps this is something I should have enquired about when booking.

The general atmosphere and the staffs pleasant and polite attitude gave a very relaxed background to our stay. The surrounding grounds and gardens were in excellent order and the close view of the river provided a very memorable experience.

Pool too far from main building.

Massive room with sofa and two chairs but they had seen better days, very worn. Comfy bed. Great views of the river. Fabulous breakfast freshly cooked.

No a/c when the weather was very hot. An unfortunate exchange Ruth one of the people at reception, who needs to be taught how to deal more charmingly with customer complaints.

Fantastic location on the river at the finish line of the rowing. Beautiful grounds, a lovely room. Like a secret Eden of the bygone British Empire.

The dress code was not made clear to us beforehand, nor that the restaurant was closed on Sunday nights - not that we had the proper attire to eat there anyway! The bath was also very high in room 8, not easy to get in/out of and the shower was a mixer tap that gave you either lukewarm, boiling hot or freezing cold water - within a millimetre turn of the taps. Some bottled water in the room would have been nice too, especially as everything was all closed up wihen we returned at about 10.30 on Sunday night.

Spectacular location overlooking the river, just a short walk into the main town centre. The place is beautiful, nicely decorated and the staff were lovely - very friendly and welcoming and full of helpful tips and advice on where to eat in town.

The older members of the croquet club seemed unhappy that the hotel was being advertised to non member guests which was not pleasant hearing them on the terrace making reference to this.

the location by the river and the surroundings were so picturesque. The building itself was lovely and our room was very spacious. Having a pool on site was a plus.

Nothing. It was all up to expectations and we felt at home. There is a good security system to keep everyone safe.

The location by the Thames is to die for. There is a spectacular view from the rooms that overlook the river. Everyone was very welcoming and kind. The room was spacious and comfortable in an old-fashioned style. Excellent food. This is a quiet place, good for walking, sightseeing and relaxing.

the view over flat roof could have been improved - either made into terrace or a living roof. Beyond that the view of the river was fantastic but felt the roofing could have been made to blend in., but the fridge was a bit noisy. The curtains are heavy and could do with a pulley

Breakfast was great and very accommodating as were arrived as they were clearing up. The room was very comfortable and beds comfortable the staff accommodating. and the interior decor fabulous and well looked after

Whilst appreciating that the venue is a member's club, we had mixed messages about bringing some family on site as our guests for a coffee. Having been told that we could do so when enquiring by phone prior to arrival, we were informed that only full members could sign-in guests when we double-checked during our stay.

Excellent location in own grounds by the river, with easy walking access to Henley town and riverside. Staff welcoming and efficient. Food was delicious - both breakfast and the evening meal.

The first room we were located was poor, backing onto aircon units which made a humming noise, and view was onto a fence and unkept planters. But the hotel did move us to a much better room after I complained, and were very accommodating.

Location was vey good, 5 minute walk into town. Lovely setting on the banks of the Thames. Reception area and restaurant was very nice. Staff were friendly and accommodating .

The weather might have been a tad more kind, I cannot really blame Phyllis Court for that though. Had I asked they would have tried I am sure.

From first arrival to final departure everything was exactly as described and staff extremely helpful and pleasant, the room very nice and the whole ambience a treat.
