Don’t be put off by the outside appearance. It’s not the best and doesn’t give credit to the comfort of the rooms. A work in progress I think. The rooms are over a popular bar so if there is live music you will hear it but, again, this didn’t trouble us.

A very convenient location and the rooms were exceptionally clean and very Comfortable. This is a bar with rooms and not a hotel but our rooms had a kettle, tea, coffee, fridge and a table and chairs with a Sainsbury store close by if you wanted to get a few bits in. Within a few minutes easy walk you are surrounded by bars, restaurants and Oxford city. We booked here for the May Day celebrations and it’s a few minutes walk to the Magdalen College.

I was a bit worried about the finding the location of the hotel due to the many messages I received about check-in prior to my arrival. Still not quite sure how I would have found myself into the room without calling staff via whatsapp even though the hotel is self-service check-in. Luckily I had no reason to leave the premises after I was finally let in. Not entirely sure how I would have gotten back into the hotel if I decided to go for an evening walk or quick visit to the shop at night.

    Clean and comfortable!

Nice design. Very few faults and very comfortable. We will be back. Very easy access.

It didn't bother us, but we could hear our neighbours quite clearly. If someone gets bothered by noise, I wouldn't recommend. But they provide earplugs, so if you're not fussy, it won't affect you much.

Neat atmosphere, as seen on their photos. Lovely and helpful staff, very comfy bed.

There was a green light in the ceiling we couldn't turn off, so it was a bit bright in the evening when you were trying to get to sleep.

We really enjoyed the asthetic of the room and the design. We loved how close we were to the city and being able to explore freely. The accessibility to the hotel was brilliant. It felt much safer having a keyless entry.

No breakfast, not sure if I just missed it but I didn't see the option.

The rooms were great, really well designed, in keeping with the theme but not overtly. There were a few little extras in the room which were excellent and good quality. The bathroom and shower were much better than most hotels. The check in process was really easy.

Jess the manager was very warm and accommodating, nothing was too much trouble. I arranged the stay after my father died and I felt very safe and at home there. The room was quirky, colourful and sumptuous with great attention to detail. I loved the decor and the atmosphere of the whole venue. Staff were helpful and kind. I would definitely like to return soon.

The lighting could be improved. Was quite difficult to pack at night time. But I guess the lighting is part of the aesthetic

The staff made our stay seamless. Communication was easy and Jess has been extremely helpful. The place is cozy, though there’s a pub at the ground level, couldn’t hear any noise at all.

The outside is off putting especially the kebab van! Could do with a hairdryer! The advice regarding price of parking is not correct Parking IS £2.20 but only between 8pm to 8am!

From the look of the place from the outside we nearly went home, but we decided to have a look and wow we were so glad we did. We had a wonderful welcome from the duty manager who showed to our room And omg what a room! A very individually styled room, beautifully clean and very comfortable. Don’t be put off by the late bar downstairs, there was a stag party in the karaoke bar and we couldn’t hear a thing but if you’re worried by the noise ear plugs are supplied! Oh and they make a mean negroni. We will definitely go back!

We were a little concerned on entering the building that it required some modernisation; we soon realised that the hotel was being modernised from the top down. Our room, on the top floor, was luxurious, spotlessly clean and imaginatively designed.

Great location, luxurious and charming room.

A member of staff could have been just a little bit friendlier, maybe she was slightly tired as she had to keep on opening the door.

Our room was lovely, the decor was unique and deep colours and we loved the Mad Hatter theme. Very Oxford!

It's hard to say as I liked the room and staff and management so much. Our room the Queens Bouduare was lovely but close to a Karaoke room. The noise was loud till 1am on Sat night. Ear plugs were provided in the room. I also dud not like ringing a door bell to regain entry when the venue was open-not so welcoming. On Sat night a bouncer questioned us even after explaining we were staying there after we came back from dinner.

The room was 10 star. Outstanding. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
