Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomEverything was perfect
A delightful historical house sensitively up-to-date but 'period'. We loved it. It was like staying in the tasteful weekend home of aristocratic friends with an country estate! Elegant furnishings, high ceilings, comfortable rooms. Both Maria and Mary were delightful and helpful. The breakfast was unbelievably generous and delicious. I could have stayed a week and lived off the breakfast alone. Conveniently situated in this fascinating historic site. We would love to return.

United StatesMy normal complaint about ALL hotels for the past five years. That is, puffs have replaced sheets and blankets, making the bedding far too warm for real comfort.
Everything. This lodging deserves the highest of praise for its helpful staff and engaging amenities. Not to be missed if looking for a place to stay in Mystras.

The way the hotel was set out with the garden rooms off of a courtyard made it feel very private and relaxed. Breakfast was excellent and there was so much choice. If you wanted anything else the hostess was very happy to help.

United StatesThis stylish boutique hotel in a historic building set among an orange grove in the village of Mystras started things off right by giving us a substantially upgraded room. Location was peaceful and parking convenient. it was close enough to the historic site that we could have walked up to the lower town, had we been so inclined, and was just a couple blocks from the village square. The evening hostess also gave us an excellent dining recommendation in the area (one of the best meals of our trip, Ktima Skreka) and the hotel offered an excellent breakfast spread. A lovely stay overall.

United StatesSome of our room’s wood built-ins and trim showed signs of wear, although the overall impression was still elegant. For non-Greeks the signage for the hotel is poor and GPS in this corner of the town consistently went haywire. To be more precise, there was a small English-language poster looking like an ad plastered over a corner of the Greek lettering for the hotel. I know Greek lettering, but the ad obscured too much of the Greek lettering for me. The English ad is illegible from the street. Basically we wasted twenty minutes looking for the hotel before we gave up and consulted a local shopkeeper. Trust me, we are experienced travelers with remote regions in Asia, Africa and Europe.
Sirene small hotel in a fascinating building. Unbelievably thoughtful supervisor accommodated a preference for a gluten-free breakfast by finding a fresh bread loaf at a local bakery. Well-designed room and furnishings. Beautifully painted carved wooden ceilings throughout. The breakfast room has artistic painting and lighting.

AustraliaIt took a little driving around the streets to locate the hotel. There was a poster sign covering an old signboard but it wasnt visible from the car and we didn't discover it until on foot. Once found though it was pure delight. The plug in our bathroom wouldn't release. My husband had to use a towel to apply pressure to the plug to get it to drain.
This is a delightful hotel with a very comfortable bed. WE checked out early so Maria gave us an early breakfast. The location was great very handy to the town square.

United StatesWe didn’t like the claw foot tub. Other than that it was a great place for us, just outside of Sparti.
This facility was a beautiful old building that had been renovated. It was in a great location and within easy walking distance to the little village nearby where we went for dinner. The only reason I marked it slightly lower for comfort was due to the tub which you had to step into to shower. It was a very tall claw foot tub and a bit challenging for us older folks to get in and out of. The woman who ran the property was Maria and she was wonderful!
