Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United Kingdomnothing-everything was lovely
Absolute bliss-the peace, the beautiful scent of jasmine and roses, the swifts darting in the evening light, the incredible view of the harbour and surrounding areas and the breakfast-and what a treat it was-homemade marmalade, fresh fruit ,yogurt, honey, freshly baked cakes -always something different and new to try and the breakfast patio -such a beautiful sunny spot-you could easily and happily spend your whole holiday there enjoying the view, the peace and the breakfast. The owners and staff are lovely and more than anything it is their warmth and kindness that make you want to return to this unforgettable place.

United KingdomOur room and balcony were rather small compared to what we were expecting from the photos. Shower was difficult to use without an overhead hook to enable 'hands-free' showering.
Wonderful view, lovely breakfast and breakfast terrace, comfortable bed, beautiful pool, friendly and helpful hosts, great location - quiet but close to the town centre.

United KingdomNot being able to stay in the room longer, which wasn't possible due to a double booking and then weather. Beware of climb to hotel, although host happy to give a lift to port and back.
Excellent view including from pool and at breakfast. Great location and host. Thank you Yorgios.

AustraliaThea Home Hotel is an extremely comfortable and well kept hotel. The communal spaces such as the outdoor breakfast area and pool are fantastic (the complimentary breakfast was delicious). Be aware the hotel is up the hill so this means quite a lot of stairs, but it’s all worth it for the gorgeous views.

Good live music in the evenings! The rooms are comfortable and decorated with very good taste! They are cleaned daily ! The owner was helpful.. all the place has a excellent vibe! Pool is cleaned daily! Breakfast was made with fresh products. The view is magic! You can have soft drinks during the day at reasonable prices! We will return

United KingdomNo kettle in room, however I didn’t ask for one. More shade on the pool area would have been good. There were 10 sun beds but only 4 parasols. We were there in the heatwave so I doubt this is normally a problem!
Beautiful views, friendly welcoming hosts. Lovely dining terrace with good selection of breakfast. Great pool. As expected with spectacular views you have to climb, but it was worth the 100+ steps. I would definitely return.

GreeceThe room itself was a quite basic unit but functional nonetheless. There was no hairdryer but was provided to us upon request. The location of the hotel requires climbing many stairs which is not super convenient if you are on foot.
Stunning panoramic view of the main town. Really beautiful garden with trees and flowers that smelled super nice and added to the whole experience. Very polite host that fulfilled all of our requests in a timely manner and was always available. Breakfast was a real highlight as it was very tasty and offered a great variety of options to pick from. Definitely recommend it !

GreeceIt's near the centre but there are a lot of stairs to get to the hotel and the uphill road is tiring. But the view is worth it! We would have preferred a bigger bathroom.
Giorgos was super helpful. He gave us a ride to the port and he was very good overall. The view from the hotel is amazing! We really enjoyed our stay, especially the pool in the evenings.

GreeceThis is not really a dislike because I am young and fit enough for it not to be an issue, but the stairs down to the town level would be a real problem for anyone with more limited mobility. It is more accessible from the road above the hotel.
Easy to find, the room was clean and airy with a good view over the town and harbour. The staff were great, as was the breakfast. It felt like a very homely place. The swimming pool was a nice bonus too!

What a wonderful experience! Booked for one night as a get-away from our holiday on Skiathos and wish we could have stayed longer. The hotel, staff, location and overall feel of Thea Home was wonderful, simply magical! We loved everything about it. The room was amazing, breakfast far exceeded our expectations and the views over Skopelos town are stunning.

United KingdomIt was a shame that they didn’t have any bikes to borrow (as stated on the website when we booked)
Thea Home is beautifully situated, high enough up that the views are great without being so high that you can’t walk back after dinner. The breakfast area was lovely (and we made friends with lots of cute cats) and breakfast was good. The staff were great and always happy to help.
