No response from receptionist for all 3 days of stay. Had to park a car somewhere outside which would be a luck if you can park. You have better to provide clear way to pay and access underground parking.

Basically fine apartment and everything was good except receptionist and response time (we haven't got a response at all). But from all other points all was good. Reserve the parking beforehand (and pay for it, it is not free)

Great room with balcony, located close to lots of bars and restaurants with easy bus access to the old town or cheap taxis. Breakfast tasty and regularly maintained.

Very disappointed that the pool didn`t work (this information should be marked). Breakfast is very modest. There was never anybody in the retception, only phone number and email address for communication.

Personal was super welcoming. It`s small and cute hotel with a good location.

There was a strange odor in the hallway. Te walls were kinda thin and not so soundproof. There could have been a balcony and the room was lacking a fridge. But these were not in the discription so it's okay. The television was not a smart tv so we couldn't watch Youtube. The staff was kinda hard to find at sertain times. The pool was not in use so we couldn't swim in it (we were in February).

There was a nice view from the room window. The room itself was simple but very comfy and tidy. The bed was big and not too soft. There was a big selection at the breakfast table (we are vegetarians). Everyone in the staff was very kind and helpful. We even got a present in the end.

The swimming pool has no water. It was quite hard to meet anybody at the reception - bot - for check-in and in case of any need (e.g. very noisy neighbours in the middle of the night). Very thin walls - you coud easily hear nieghbours. A fridge in the room would be an advantage.

Quite spacious room with balcony. Place is a bit far from the city center - long walk uphill or taking a bus. Close to Lido. Breakfast was fine, a lot of sweet options, coffee could be better. Nicely decorated common spaces.

Superb small hotel, very well located with good parking options during my stay. (Hotel also offers own parking for a very decent sum). Nice breakfast and breakfast room, a sunny covered terrace with a glimpse of the ocean. All facilities are nice, and the balcony with seaview, priceless. Lovely, lovely hosts

Nice comfortable room and breakfast is nice and light. Coffee is great. No need to pay €5 to park the car each day under the hotel because there is plenty of parking up and down the street right outside. A taxi to the airport is €30

The access of the parking is difficult and there are often bad odour in the bathroom.

The room was usefull and near the center of Funchal in a calm place with a parking. Several restaurants ans shops are near the room. The breakfasts were good and the staff is available.

We didn’t like that there were lots of mosquitoes in the room. In a couple of occasions we also had huge brows flying cockroaches. The lack of refrigerator nor an air conditioning was unpleasant but of course that’s perhaps reflected in the price which is reasonable. The bathroom had some mold and looked quite dated. The biggest problem was the noise every night. The music from the other hotel’s reception was On almost all the time, while the host of Monte Verde was yelling almost every day and speaking very loudly even in the middle of the night. He was not very welcoming and didn’t seem attentive to the fact that some people might’ve come on vacation to take a rest.

We liked that it’s close to the city center - about 30min of walking and 10 with bus. The room was very spacious and the double bed quite large. The place was easy to find from the airport as the Airport Bus has a stop just 5/6min away from the hotel. We really liked the breakfast, there were many options for every taste and the coffee was great too!
