The staff was super nice and accommodating, hotel design and atmosphere were also amazing, including the amenities and small details in the room. Great breakfast. The location is also superb, right on the main road with one of the best night markets in Bangkok and a metro stop close by. Live music at the bar was also a nice touch.

The only downside we’d say about the property is that there are no windows in the room so you don’t get any natural light

The biggest negative is something that the hotel should highlight - NO EXTERNAL WINDOWS. I found it quite depressing having no natural light and nothing to look out on. I was also swayed by the 'jazz' bar. What jazz??? We were there four nights and three of those were loud pop music - so loud we wouldn't choose to have a drink or eat there.

Nice staff at the hotel. The first night we found the noise from the bar loud so we raised it at reception the next morning and were upgraded to a quieter room which was also bigger. Beds were great - very firm.

The bed was hemmed in by a bars on the side of the bed. You had to slide down to the base of the bed to get in and out. Not good if you have a sore back or a disability.

Smaller room with a poster bead that took up too much space. Strange doors that seem to not be the safest. Bar/restaurant was expensive.

Great location for visiting Chinatown. Lots of food options close by especially at night when the street comes alive. Convienience stores close by to get coffee etc. No coffee in the room. Did not use the breakfast option. Price seemed high when you can eat tasty food nearby. Lots of shopping options close by and malls are only a short distance away. Close to the water taxis stand. Band in the bar at night. Bed was not to my liking. The poster bead was a pain in the butt to get in and out. Comfortwise it was ok. Room was not very clean compared to others we stayed at.

Little mould in bathroom and bed was like sleeping on concrete. Also they forgot to make up our room one day and when requested they did a very sloppy job. Got out of the shower one day and had no shower towel in the room. They had forgotten to replace it

The Rooms was a bit older but still in good shape. The interior was very nice and we liked it alot!

The location is great and the breakfast was very good. I liked the room and the hotel itself. The staff were very helpful and kind. For the price a 10/10 recommendation.

I recommend the hotel! Great location, delicious breakfast, very clean room. Professional hotel service. I accidentally left my jewelry in the room after leaving the hotel. The staff very quickly helped me recover the jewelry and send it to my country. I am very grateful to them because jewelry was of great importance to me.

The air conditioning was either really cold or too hot, aircon fans didn’t seem to be controlled by the slow, medium fast settings either.

Great decoration, very quaint. Staff were delightful, I loved the lady who came round at breakfast to check everyone was OK, give victims tips etc - a fantastic touch.

Some of the staff seems to be a bit unexperienced. Elder staff was very helpful indeed. The breakfast was OK, but could be better. Sometimes you expect more from the welcome, when you come back for a 3d time, but probably it is not in the registers.

3d time in Sjanghai mansion, the hotel seems to be extended and is very nice decorated in Chinese design. In the middle of China town, good base to explore this interesting part of Bangkok. Overall we had a good stay.

All rooms are lockable by wood and are quite close by so you can hear sounds from outside and next door - recommending earplugs for light sleepers :)

A minor thing - but our air conditioning was a bit hit or miss, either full cooling or heating (!), but after a quick note to reception they had it fixed within the day, so I can't complain really!

The location was great - right in the centre on Chinatown, with easy access to the Yaowarat Night Market, a great restaurant and jazz bar near the entrance and good distance to the metro or taxis. The breakfast was extensive and good, and the complimentary afternoon tea (Fridays and Saturdays) with a musician was a nice bonus. Room was comfortable, with a lovely aesthetic, and the staff were very helpful with recommendations and pointers.

What a fabulous find. What wasn't to like? The welcome by reception staff was first class. The room was very spacious and comfortable. The decor was awesome. Customer Service team were very proactive. We had a lot of fun listening to the live music acts. Perfect location in bustling Chinatown. It was our first time here, but will definitely stay here again.

The property was in a great location, and the decor was fantastic, really beautiful. The staff were superb! They organised early airport transport for me, and a packed breakfast was waiting for me in the morning, as I had such an early departure. Faultless from start to finish.
