Sligo itself was ok but to be honest we stayed because it was central to the area we wanted to explore.
If you go to Sligo don’t miss Glencar Waterfall and the Devils Chimney. Also Achill island make sure you follow the coast

I judge a place by its people, and to me they make you feel very welcome. Myself &the Mrs go to Sligo Town, at least six times a year for 2/ 3 days at a time. Its home from home, great food , great bars, Trad music, and great to relax. Love Sligo

We were mostly in the Strandhill area which is beautiful. Lots of places to eat and drink. Beautiful beach area where surfers were surfing, and Knocknarea to climb if you have the legs for it! Dinner at The Venue and best we’ve had so far.
The Strand Bar was fantastic too. Fresh sweet seafood!

Sligo is a lovely place, both for itself and its location to explore lots of interesting places nearby. There are lots of cafes and restaurants to suit every taste.
The man in the tourist office was so nice and helpful. We were sorry that we couldn't go on the walking tour It sounded very interesting .
The one way traffic system is a bit confusing but we got used to it quickly. Actually, I'd advise people to park the car and just walk.. its much quicker.
This was a great hotel! It was in a very convenient location in Sligo, and the town was walkable from the hotel. Our room had a balcony with a view of the river, which was really cool. We didn't try the breakfast, but it smelled amazing. There is a parking garage attached to the hotel, and there are elevators that connect to it. It was really convenient, and the parking fee was only a few dollars. The room was modern and a good size, and the bed was really comfortable.
A lovely hotel with beautiful surroundings, a short drive outside of Sligo town. Staff were very kind, especially those behind the front desk. Both the bar and the breakfast room have a lovely set up overlooking the golf course which provides a beautiful setting in both the morning and evening. Room was a great size, we worked from the room for a few hours and had no issues with space etc and everything was clean and orderly
Hotel is a 5 minute walk into the main area of Sligo. Uniquely situated above part of the river We had a nice view overlooking the river. Very comfortable bed and large room. . Happy and engaging staff. There are only a few car parks available out the front so you have to be a bit lucky to snag one. Parking is free up the same road about 150-200 metres away. Overall we had an excellent experience at the Riverside Hotel.
I visited Sligo park hotel for celebrating 2 years anniversary with my partner and the hotel gave us a little suprise, box of chocolates and drinks, we were so surprised and grateful!! Thank you so so so so much ❤️ and everything is perfect about our stay. Couldn't recommend more !! Room is clean and bright, plenty of space, breakfast is amazing too!! Staff were very professional and helpful!!
Thank you!!!
Amazing location in a unique building with super friendly welcoming and obliging staff. The genuinely friendly welcome we received from Robert was the best we’ve experienced!
Short walk to gorgeous bay/ beach, surrounded by beautiful gardens and forest and staying in a over 100 year old mansion- away from the hustle of Sligo makes for a great stay.
Only sorry we didn’t stay longer
Super comfortable bed, which is my priority when traveling. I was in a double room with a river view. The front desk staff was awesome, providing me with tips of things to do. The location is perfect, with the river running right behind the hotel. It's a short walk, 2 minutes, to bars and restaurants. The shower was excellent, with high pressure water.
We had a great stay at No 13 for a family event happening in the nearby Sligo Park Hotel. The house was warm, clean and welcoming with everything we needed for our stay. The kitchen was well equipped and the linens and towels were top quality. Our host called during our stay to check if we needed anything - a nice touch! We'll be back again.
Great location, very close to the city centre and all the other wonderful attractions Sligo has to offer. Lovey and friendly reception and security, easily accessed and quick to answer any questions. It is student accommodation during the term year so it is basic - the bed mattress could have been comfier, but it is clean, safe and secure.
Samatha at the reception and all the other stuff members were very lovely and helpful. Great place to stay, I would definitely recommend it and someday I'll definitely return. Those were the best days of my life, thanks Sligo for treating me so kindly, I felt like I'm home and it actually made me sad to leave. ❤️
Lovely and exceptionally clean room.
In city centre which helps a lot.
Car park close by, and you probably would be able to park right outside the hotel, best to check if there is a parking meter. Overall, great hotel to stay for a couple of nights.
It was a welcomed me relief from guesthouses or hotels. A tiny, cozy cabin in the Irish countryside. We were delighted that it rained all night and had the patter on the roof. Michelle was very communicative and helpful.
Price compared to hotels in sligo but when you add price of taxis into town and buying your own breakfast it might work out same price.
Very spacious lots of room family of 4.
Girl at reception very helpful.
A nice hotel in the heart of the city with the river running alongside the property. We had a wonderful view from our room, looking over the river & the city centre.
