Location, new building. Young atmosphere. Staff were really nice and helpful, but some of them did not speak clear and loud, and it was difficult to hear them.
Coffee at the reception was very good.

With a dome reminiscent of Brunelleschi’s "The Duomo" in Florence, the Hungarian parliament building is undoubtedly the icon of Budapest. It sits majestically by the Danube, the river that both divides and unifies the 2 parts of this capital city: Buda and Pest.
Overseeing Budapest from its vantage point on Castle Hill is Buda Castle. Spectacularly lit at night, it offers the best views across this attractive city steeped in World Heritage. Some unique points of interest are Heroes Square and the Museum of Terror, reminders of the city’s more turbulent past.
Much like in Vienna further up the Danube, coffee and cake is practically an institution in Budapest. And there’s nowhere better to try this than Gerbeaud - the elaborate décor alone makes this café well worth a visit.
To really feel like a local, make a trip to the thermal baths. The relaxed Gellért Baths are a triumph of Art Nouveau grandeur, while based on their sheer size, you can't miss the outdoor Széchenyi Baths. If unusual nightlife is your thing, the club nights at these baths are great fun.
With an impressive range of Budapest hotels, apartments and hostels on offer in this city of 2 halves, Booking.com makes your choice completely easy.

We are spontaneous travellers so just decide on what to do and where to visit when we get to places. Plenty of lovely places to visit and eat. Some visitor attractions and popular places to eat best to book in advance.

Beautiful architecture, very clean and plenty of eateries, felt very safe. Public transport is very good, no need for a taxi from the airport take the E100 bus, just 40 minutes direct with only 3 stops (but all on the city) with the last stop right in the heart and under £5 / person.

Budapest is a very beautiful city.
Budapest is a very beautiful city. It is a miniature of Vienna, in my opinion: very elegant, very royal, with massive blocks of buildings all decorated. It is a city with no just one centre but has a multitude of centres. Budapest is a VERY EXPENSIVE city and this can be a problem especially if you travel on a limited budget or with children or adolescents.

Very tidy city, easy to walk around, good public transport when needed. Some beautiful buildings , although some were in poor condition. We were amazed at the amount of empty large properties (that would have been spectacular in their prime)that appear to be abandoned and left to rot. There are lots of open parkland, river side walks.

We spent a week in Budapest and were satisfied with the amount of time. We are 65+ and trams, buses & metro are now free for anyone our age. That was a fantastic bonus for us and we used the transportation all the time. There is so much to see and do in Budapest and the city is pedestrian friendly. The options for eating out are endless and we found lots of reasonable, delicious meals. There was a lot of things we didn't do that Budapest is famous for and still filled our week with enjoyable wanderings. I highly recommend a visit to Budapest.

The hotel is genuinely a palace, the restaurant being a former ballroom for the palace. Everything that we saw was to a very high standard. The position of the hotel is perfect for seeing Budapest being literally a few yards from the Parliament building. The staff were very enthusiastic and helpful. It is very near to a local Metro (underground) station which is brilliant for exploring either the Buda or the Pest side. The bedroom was surprisingly quiet for a city centre location. Highly recommended!
After reading the reviews I went there expecting the worst. But I was surprised. It is not a 5 stars hotel, but it's maybe the best price in Budapest. Yes, there is a smell in the bathroom, but it's the smell of descaler. Which means there is intense cleaning. The bathroom vent does not work very good.
But...the room is big, location very good, close to center, parking underground for 10 euros, really good and relaxed staff.
Very good breakfast also.
Fabulous comfortable hotel a few minutes to the centre by taxi (Bolt). The bed is one of the best i have ever been in, extra king size, gorgeous bathroom with a great bathtub and shower. Great prices considering the quality of the furniture and size of the bedroom in a European capital. Amazing kind staff throughout the hotel. True 5 star experience. Would go back to Budapest solely to stay in this hotel again.
We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Stories in Budapest.
The staff is very nice, friendly and helpful, the apartments are spacious, beautifully decorated, warm and comfortable.
Incredibly beautiful garden, restaurant in the atrium, location in the very center of Budapest...
All these together makes this hotel the best choice for accommodation when visiting the beautiful capital of Hungary.
We stayed just one night because we extended our stay in Budapest. Before that we stayed 3 days in apartment and this hotel was much better cheaper then apartment. Perfect location on the most beautiful street, close to all sites. Very nice and friendly stuff, comfortable bed, big size room nicely furnished and clean. Value for your money, you could find better deal and better location
Was my first time in Budapest, the best place to stay is Matild. They arranged for me flowers and chocolate for my lovely wife, and they added a huge hearth balloon and Champagne. Best Valentine ever. The staff always motivated to help or bring you information. Don't think twice because Staff and hotels like this, it's hard to find. I sleep on the top floor with an amazing view.
This is a truly unique experience in Budapest. We wanted something different than a simple hotel room and this was a great choice. The room was cosy with a great view of the island and the beds were very comfy. The shower is indeed small but it’s a boat after all. The location is also convenient, close to Danube cruises and city centre.
It is a 5 star hotel but quite old fashioned. The rooms are not very modern but this is not necessarily bad. They are spacious and the bed is very comfortable. The location of the hotel is excellent close to the city centre and to public transport. The breakfast is one of the highlights of the hotel, it is very good.
We made late plans for Budapest for New Year's eve and this property was relatively affordable, the staff were efficient at arranging arrival times and check-in. The hotel is in a great location as you can catch the bus just around the corner to the city centre and the entrance is accessible 24/7.
Hy my name is Igor, and I am from Poland. I spent a few day in Budapest and I have just realized, I loved it. It is a beutiful city, and The Silver Hotel is the best choice to stay in the city centre. The price is convenient and the Hotel is comfortable. What more can I say?
Central location, great staff, clean rooms, EXCEPTIONAL bar staff. Martin was the highlight of our trip and made us the best cocktails, shared wonderful jokes and stories, and we ended most of our nights chatting at the hotel bar. Truly a gem of a hotel in Budapest.
Hotel NH Budapest City has a great location. All main attractions in the city center are within walking distance of the hotel. The room was very comfortable, clean and warm. The staff was very friendly and polite. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel.
Great position in the city centre to visit all Budapest best sights. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Nice bar/restaurant within the hotel and they offer you a free cocktail/beer on arrival. Staff was kind and helpful. Good WiFi connection in the hotel.
This is a wonderful hotel. It's a great location. The hotel is affordable. The staff was helpful. Check-in was simple, even for a group of 19.
It was a 5 star stay, and I will definately make this my first pick for lodging next time I'm in Budapest.
I like this hotel very much and this was not my first stay there. It is in city centre, with good breakfast, clean but basically furnished. Enough for feeling comfortable for short stay. Also well located for exploring Budapest.
Very nice clean hotel....very kind people work there no problem for english speaking guests.parking is also very good and cheap parking compare to city centre hotels...... metro station Puskas Ferenc stadion is next to hotel.
Beautiful hotel, in the center of the city, cozy rooms, excellent staff and great breakfast. It is the third time I'm staying in the hotel and definitely will come back again next time I'm in Budapest.
