Mary, the owner, met us at the door with a huge smile and her two Scottish Terriers (Scotty Dogs) named Freddie and Winnie. They let us tickle them behind their ears ( but not Mary although if we asked nicely she may have allowed us!). The accommodation was Georgian decorated to a very high standard. We stayed in the self-contained garden house with cooking facilities for at home catering. The toilet and shower were excellent with plenty of space. The decor of the room was well thought through. The bed was so comfortable that it was a shame to get out of it in the morning. The nearby cathedral replaced the need for a watch with its frequent, soothing chimes. Each morning we were greeted with croissants and jam from Mary with Freddie the dog being an alert hoover for an
dropped crumbs. Mary was a font of information about the locality which was so useful when we planned our days. Nearby was the train station that took us to Cork and other attractions. The food in Cobh (pronounced “Cove) was delicious and plentiful and was great vfm.

Lovely little coastal town with parking and good traditional Pubs like Kelly’s Bar well worth a visit you can leave the car behind and hop on the train into Cork it’s only a short trip away. Then you can shop away to your hearts content. I imagine that is a great option for the Cruise ship passengers when they visit. Oh and I don’t want to forget the restaurants like the Quays or the Titanic who look after all your needs.
Fabulous accommodation,&everything walking distance or easily accessible by car or train. Mary& Michael are lovely host beautiful home & great croissants in the morning. Really enjoyed our stay here would highly recommend.

Local businesses lacked the customer service mentality that seems prevalent throughout Ireland. Very few dining options, most of them full. Cobh is a small town easily covered in an afternoon, and nothing about the local populace invites much engagement. It was a drab experience overall.

Cobh is delightful, quite small but with many things to do mainly concerned with history of the town. It is associated with the Titanic, but amazingly the infrastructure for the big liners is still there: the White Star Line and Cunard offices are still there as is the train station which brought so many travellers to the town. There are plenty of good restaurants in the town and the town is very easy to get around. The only problem is the hilliness of the town. Also Cork city is very close by.

A picturesque little spot set on a steep hill.
A picturesque little spot set on a steep hill. Beautiful views, fantastic cathedral, interesting Titanic Experience museum. Trips out to Spike Island although we didn’t have time to visit. Easy distance for Cork City and Blarney Castle which are both recommended.
Pam’s welcome and care made this one of our favourite nights on our road trip. She made a reservation for us to eat out, chatted with us, made us tea and apple pie on arrival and cooked the best breakfast we had in Ireland with home made scones and soda bread. The room was large, clean and had everything we needed. The bed was so comfortable. The whole house is beautiful and so near to all you need in Cobh. We wanted to take this place and Pam with us everywhere we went!
Out of 12 B&Bs I stayed in during my 3 weeks in Ireland, this guesthouse was easily #1. My hosts, Maire and Joe, could not have been kinder. My room was quite large; the bed very comfortable; the ambiance quiet. Maire adjusted breakfast to address my allergies - it was delicious. She gave me several suggestions of things to do and see during my stay - all of them spot on. I recommend this guesthouse unreservedly and with true enthusiasm to anyone traveling to Cobh.
We had both a continental and full breakfast choice. The continental offerings were more than adequate; smoked fish, meats, cheese, fruit, cereal. My wife had eggs which were cooked to order.
The staff were friendly and accommodating. The location is a few minutes from downtown Cobh.
The property is tightly packed with narrow views of the harbor. The BB is in a converted rectory which still shows in various rooms.
The location & views across the harbour are stunning. The apartment was extremely well stocked which we did not expect & is even better in reality than the photos show. The bed was amazingly comfortable & we slept so well. Adrian is a very helpful & easily contactable. He made contact to ensure we had everything we needed & gave us great tips. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Cobh or Cork in general.
At first we didn’t really prepare for being part of someone else’s home, and to be treated so well. The hosts are fantastic, made us feel very very welcome, a totally different and wonderful experience from any other b+b or hotel we have stayed in Ireland. View of the bay was wonderful, and the breakfast (with surprise twist) was also wonderful.
The staff were very friendly.
The view was great.
The bedroom was massive.
The beds were so so comfortable.
Car parking was useful but are car is low and hit the undercarriage as we entered and left.
Menu at restaurant was typical of most hotels for diner and breakfast, not particularly Irish cuisine it used local produce.
Everything was amazing… Marie and Joe are such welcoming hosts! Great suggestions for day trips, making sure we were comfortable, and just generally making us feel at home. The home has been meticulously restored and it is just beautiful. We had a room with a view of the harbor and it was a rare sunny day in Cobh!
The rooms were lovely and the hotel is located very central in Cobh. The reception staff were extremely pleasant and the housekeeping staff were very good. The views from the room were absolutely second to none. The bar staff were very friendly. The rooftop area is really spectacular as well.
Our host was wonderful and very helpful. The croissants were lovely. The room was set back from the hotel and was small but perfect for our stay, the kitchenette was a great bonus. It was on the main road close to train links and nearby pubs and eateries
Wonderful stay! The host was so friendly and welcoming. The rooms are beautiful and the breakfast was extensive and delicious! It’s also so close to town, and Cobh is such a beautiful town. Thank you again!
The hotel is in an excellent location in Cobh, close to the train station and has excellent parking facilities. Views from the hotel are beautiful. Great team of staff, would certainly visit again.
The apartment was clean and spacious. We had a magnificent view over Cobh Harbour and breakfast was good. It was walking distance into the town. There was free parking at the hotel
The apartment is in an excellent location in the centre of Cobh. It was spotless and had all of the facilities you could want including free wifi, washing machine, cooker etc.
Large room with unobstructed sea view. There was a space off the bedroom with a table which was a nice bonus. Breakfast was OK. The hotel had on-site parking. A bonus!
