We had 2 amazing nights at H78, the first one when we arrived at the Male with a plan to go to the resort on one of the islands, and the second one when we were heading back home.
Both times, we were surrounded by attention and support of the hotel's team. Starting with the meeting with Maya, our forever welcoming host at the Velana airport) And at last but not least, team of H78 together with the drivers and The Catch restaurant team.
Even when we had our second stay and it turned out at the airport that my son had left his phone at the resort, Maya did all possible and even more to get his phone back. And at the end, on the next morning, we got it.
Thank you, H78 family) You are amazing! We'll definitely be back one day. See you)

The staff were all very friendly and helpful and no request for assistance was a problem for them. The hotel is well situated, being close to shopping, transport, and the tourist sites. We would definitely stay there again .

I had previously stayed in Male city on two previuos visits and found it a pleasant place to stay. In the intervening 12 years since my last visit the entire Hulumale area has been developed and has become something of a dormitory suburb to Male city with the completion of the China Friendship Bridge. Male is now a somehwat traffic choaked hot and relatively dirty city with Hulhumale a relatively quiet place to stay with plenty of good restaurants and hotels to suit almost any budget. In addition there are plenty of options to keep you occupied from shark and manta dives, island tours and windsurfing, paddle boarding and even kite surfing advertised by tour groups located in the area.

Hulhumale is great for crashing out after a long flight or for staying the night before an early flight. It is also a good base for visiting Male by ferry. The long straight beach is made up of broken coral and soft white sand. The off shore reef protects the beach and make swimming safe for children. I prefer Hulhulmale to Malé when I have a stopover.
I prefer Hulhulmale to Malé when I have a stopover. It has a beach and isn't that busy and loud. The travelling time from the airport is only 15 minutes. Hulhulmale offers everything I need for my short stays.

Probably the worst condition of a hotel I have ever seen at this expensive overprice. The staff was nice and helpful, but was glad it was just for One night. The whole hotel was in a miserable condition and completely No sense of internal decoration. No elevator. Unbelievable smell of urine. The beds were Soft and with a hole in the middel, moldy wet Walls, the White curtains too long and Brown. The airfreshner too strong and overwhelming. The only consolation was a Great Bombay Indian Restaurant 5-7 mins walk away. Always tale local taxi and not the taxi the hotel trys to make you take at 5 times the price

Would recommend this side over Male, what some locals said to us. Has a lot of small hotels and more beach area. Male is much more crowded and more concrete, less beaches. A few decent Indian restaurants. But other restaurants were hit or miss-lots of canned and dried foods. So definitely had a hard time with my stomach and some of the meals. But locals were all very nice. Stayed here 2 nights prior to going to a resort but 1 night would’ve been good enough.AAnonymous - 4.0Scored 4.0

The hotel also provided a free upgrade to their more premium chain, Amber Hotel - thanks to the receptionists Robin and Levin. The washroom was clean, room was neat and tidy, the dinner was good and we got a few hours sleep in. Just what we needed after before our flight out. As with much of Hulhumale, the properties next door detract from the nice aspects of the Rivethi Beach exterior. The room was small but excellent. There was hot water everytime I wanted it. Room cleaning was when you wished. Just tell the staff in the morning. It will be a pleasure to stay at this hotel again in the future.
