Much more appealing than Lima, it has old world charm and a great food scene. We found the foodie like raves about Lima to be way over-rated while Arequipa had restaurants we found much more appealing.

Arequipa is a very nice city different from the other cities in Peru, a very clean and welcoming town. I think it has a lot to offer from the mountains to the coast! Colca canyon is a must! Amazing place to relax and enjoy the mountains and the peaceful towns. Downtown is also really nice with good restaurants, cafes, museums and nice churches that are open to visit in the day. There are also nice typical restaurants around the city where they serve local and delicious dishes. Arequipa is totally recommended for 2 to 4 days.
Beautiful building, great breakfast and attention by the chef, 1st rate. Last minute booking due to change of plan and was able to check in at 0600. Our room was very dated in terms of furniture by modern standards but clean, bed huge and very comfortable. Bathroom was disappointing but had hot water. Courtyard is stunning and overall is peaceful, except for a really distress cat howling (for hours at times) (nothing the hotel can do about that! Probably would say it would rate around 8/10 which is not bad for Peru.
Had a small suite with a balcony on the top floor. View looked out onto a parking lot, but was still pleasant to have. Room was HUGE! Nice modern conveniences. The roof deck has spectacular views of the city. Staff was very eager to help out. One night when I was too exhausted to go out to eat, they helped me order delivery and dropped it off to my room. That was above and beyond! The interior décor is very intriguing with lots of skylights. This was my favorite accommodation in Peru.
Spacious rooms, very clean, comfy beds. great location close to center. The staff were lovely letting us have room early. Loved pet turtle - Lolo.
If you are tired and don’t feel like going out to dinner, there is an amazing pizza (my husband is italian) so its really good pizza around the corner - called Vesuvio…less than a minute walk…you can get take away and eat in room…very quick.
There also a great Peruvian restaurant called zigzag that the hotel recommended which was amazing.
I had a very comfortable stay here!
One of the best hotels I stayed in Peru!
The location is great and only few minutes walk to the main attractions in Arequipa and the central square.
The room was extremely clean. The mattress and bedding was super comfortable. Nice, spacious bathroom with hot shower and good water pressure.
The downstairs lobby had filtered cold or hot water to make tea which was very convenient.
The staff was very accommodating, helpful and friendly.
José made me feel so comfortable from the start. Such a good and friendly host explaining what to visit in the city and nearby. He also took the time to make me discover a more local hang out on the river and also organised a BBQ on the roof one night. The hostel has everything you need without being pretentious, and is cleaned daily. I slept really well and the shower was the best I have had in Peru, especially after arriving from Colca. Gracias José !
The hotel has a hostel section and they are providing hotel quality at the hostel as well.Although the location is very central, it is very quiet. Super clean and comfy beds, open buffet rich breakfast, lovely and caring personnel (especially Mari, in the reception). Mari is amazing. She even prepared a breakfast box for me since I had a night departure for Colca tour. i stayed there for a week and felt really like home. A hidden gem in Arequipa.
Best hotel that I have ever stayed and the top notch service!
Upon arrival and during the stay, Deborah was super helpful and sweet. They have an amazing breakfast and it's such a lovely place. It is not right by the main square but we liked it better as the place was quiet. Beautiful view as well, there's no need to go to any other rooftop bar.
We want to go back to Arequipa just to stay here again, that's how much we loved it!
The Hotel is renovated some years ago, and have a very european style, where everything works as it should, and a very nice common area.
The breakfast, and the terrace where it is served is very nice.
The staff is very friendly and helpfull. And we got to leave our bags there when hiking in Colca Canyon
The room was comfortably warm
The shower had warm water and OK water pressure
This hotel feels like a home away from home. The location is perfect (right next to Plaza de Armas), staff is extremely attentive and friendly, the room is very comfortable and clean and when you wake up a delicious breakfast is waiting for you (with different options to choose from).
I would definitely book again if I ever return to Arequipa.
Beat breakfast I’ve had so far in Peru. Staff was really nice and welcoming. they’ve let me leave my luggage and also do some laundry while I want to an overnight trip to colca canyon. when I can back my luggage and folder laundry was waiting for me in the room .
location is also convenient and close to center.
A wonderful, centrally located hotel. The rooms were a great size, with comfortable beds and the best large hot shower in the whole of Peru. The staff are super accommodating and they deliver a nice included breakfast. Definitely would recommend this property, and it is particularly amazing in the cold weather!
We’ve stayed at this hotel each time we travel to Arequipa because they treat us like houseguests. The staff goes above and beyond to make our stay as uneventful as possible. The location is close to the Plaza de Armas and many excellent restaurants I highly recommend this hotel.
Very cozy boutique hotel with plants everywhere and a great location. I recommend the spa, it was really nice and relaxing after a long tour, just make sure to book it a couple of days before.
The room balcony has a great view of the volcano.
It is a very comfortable place to stay. The hotel is centrally located, so it is easy to get around central Arequipa and walk to all of the important sites. The staff are attentive and friendly, I will stay here next time I come to Peru.
Location, Location, and Location. This Hotel is well located in the center of the city. close to all the attractions, and Restaurants. Another plus is the Breakfast. Definitely will stay here in my next visit to Arequipa-Peru.
Excellent hotel, in a perfect location. The room was beautiful and above expectations and the roof top is amazing! Tip: the pisco sour was the best I tasted during my two weeks trip around Peru
Best breakfast during our Peru Trip
Beautiful inner courtyard, nicely decorated
Nice location central to the city (5-10 min to plaza de armas)
Comfortable beds
The hotel is located in the centre of Arequipa in a very beautiful building. The room we stayed in was very nice. The breakfast area is also very nice and sunny.
