The bed and breakfast, set in a building dating from 19th century, is 2.5 km from Pleasure Pier and 9.3 km from Schlitterbahn Galveston Island Waterpark. The accommodation features a housekeeping service and private check-in and check-out for guests. This is the most wonderful property - steeped in history and oh-so-comfortable and luxurious. Rick (owner) and Tammy (host) were so welcoming and friendly. Tammy made us wonderful (complimentary) afternoon cocktails and Rick made us exceptionally delicious breakfasts (his French toast is the best I’ve ever tasted). The house is in a neighbourhood of gorgeous historic mansions, each a story in themselves. We cannot recommend Schaefer Haus enough.

The highlight was undoubtedly the jacuzzi – a perfect way to unwind after a day of exploring. The presence of friendly animals added a charming touch, making our experience truly delightful. Highly recommend for a peaceful getaway!

Exceptional stay! We stopped here on our drive north, and it has been a highlight of our trip. The property is in an excellent location in today and has all the amenities needed plus more. S’mores by the fire with a glass of wine was a delight. Hospitality was top notch! Breakfast was wonderful, best scrambled eggs! Would have loved to have stayed longer.
