Located in Copey, Curuba Lodge offers accommodation with a terrace or a balcony, free WiFi and flat-screen TV, as well as a garden and a restaurant. Fantastic hosts! Norem, Esteban and Valeria made us feel at home right away and went out of their way to accommodate us. Breakfast and dinner (with the hummingbirds around) were delicious, prepared to the point and with several dishes to choose from. The cabins are all new, very well designed and furnished, the bathroom with steady and immediate hot and cold water supply. A garden with a small trail are in the making and will make spending time in the crisp and clean mountain air even more worthwhile. We can highly recommend Curuba Lodge which became our favorite place in Costa Rica! Tip: Esteban can connect you with a few guides to see the rare and iconic Quetzal birds.

Las Bromelias Lodge has garden views, free WiFi and free private parking, set in Paso Macho, 28 km from Cerro de la Muerte. Beautiful location, plenty of space to sleep, relax, have meals plus great views. Very helpful staff that visited the house while we were away and prepared fireplace for us after we used wood the day before. Perfect location to explore Savegre forest and this area. In the cottage we found a contact to very good, profesional birdwatching guide.

Everything. The location was great, clean all around, comfy bed, roomy space, host is awesome. All around the best place to stay near Dominical in our opinion.

Set in Trinidad, Cabaña Mamá Elia is a recently renovated accommodation, 28 km from Cerro de la Muerte and 47 km from Jardin Botanico Lankester.

Boasting river views, Log Cabin in Tinamaste Valley, Habacuc Woods, BARÚ features accommodation with a garden and a patio, around 13 km from Nauyaca Waterfalls. We could have spent a week here, we really did not want to leave. If you get the chance, you must stay here. The cabin was perfect, there is nothing you need that isn’t here. The views are spectacular, it wouldn’t be possible to do it justice. We were very fortunate to stay at some incredible places, but this might be our favourite. The drive up is challenging, we were laughing the whole way, but it was definitely worth it. We can’t recommend this place more. Great hosts, readily available and accommodating.
