This lovely house, situated in a quiet cul-de-sac, was well-equipped with everything we needed for our two-night stay. The first impression, created by the flowers of the red flowering gum in a vase upon entering the house, was delightful. The tastefully decorated interior further enhanced the pleasure of our stay. The location was conveniently close to all the places we wanted to visit, such as Hanging Rock, the Mount Macedon gardens, and Woodend. We did not have a chance to meet the host but she must be a talented and interesting person (paintings on the walls).
The Gisborne Peak Winery Eco-Cottages are located a 15-minute drive from Gisborne Centre and the Gisborne Golf Club. They offer a barbecue area and free parking on site.

Gisborne is a great place to stay if one wants to explore the region. The town itself is not particularly interesting and we liked only one walk to the Mount Gisborne although the entry to the reserve was rather difficult to find. The Gisborne Racecourse Marshlands Reserve was quite a disappointment for birdwatchers expecting to find some birds there or have a nice walk. Perhaps we have unfairly given up on further exploration.

Gisborne is a lovely spot and some lovely locals we met, however you need to be forewarned that there is NO transport, no Ubers, no Taxis, this is something I didn't expect for a place only 50 mins from the City of Melbourne. Fortunately the pub locals put us onto some transport and they were a great help, far more helpful than the owner of our accommodation whom offered zip in the way of transport assistance. Telegraph Hotel very good, great staff, great local people, place to go.

Gisborne is a great little country town but growing rapidly.
Gisborne is a great little country town but growing rapidly. Probably you need transport from this accommodation to town. Everything available there though with still a small town feel. Restaurants, coffee shops, supermarkets, florists, chemists, wine shops, everything you should need really.

We came to Gisborne for my brothers 70th birthday at 1PM
Been to the general area before like Hanging rock and Mt Macedon all this and more could be done from Gisborne. Plenty of good eateries and wineries in the general area. We had the party opposite the Pub near Coles. Time to explore was limited. All the general area is refreshing. GPS is a great help. Must go again when not time poor
220 metres to the Gisborne Railway Station with regular train services to Melbourne, Bendigo or beyond.
Barringo Food and Wine with bistro, cafe and bar en route to the station with delicious food etc.,
Host was very accommodating and responsive and left us complimentary food. Look no further if you want excellent clean and affordable accommodation in New Gisborne for up to 4 persons in a quiet attractive neighborhood.
In central Gisborne so easy to walk to shops (Aldi across the road ) and eateries. Despite this it was quiet and no disturbance at night. Loved the modern open spaciousness of the property. Shower easy access and plenty of room. Heating was excellent lovely and warm. Nice big fridge and plenty of storage room in kitchen . Good location to explore the Mt Macedon area.
Quaint motel with microwave, kettle, little biscuits and tea and coffee with plenty of little UHF milk in the fridge. Air-conditioning was good and along with the electric blanket, this complemented room comfort. Gisborne has a generous amount a eating places, both sit-in and take-away; all with in two kilometres driving distance from the motel.
What an enchanting experience it was staying at Claggett estate.
Leanne and Harvey made us feel like at home. Their paradise estate is an epitome of perfection: the place is spotless and neat to the level of a 7 star hotel. If you want to spend an iddilyc holiday in country Victoria, look no further than Claggett estate!
Fantastic location 220m from the train station.
Nespresso coffee machine.
Great produce in the fridge for breakfast (juices, yogurts, jams, milk, bacon & milk. The kitchen had everything we needed. Lovely bathrobes like if we were in a nice hotel.
Extremely clean.
Very friendly.
Highly recommend!
The view is lovely. The ceilings are high. The decor is fabulous. The fireplace in the bedroom is lovely. The location is a short drive from Gisborne and a relatively short trip from metropolitan Melbourne. There are lots of walks in the area.
the location for us was prefect as we had to attend functions in Baccus Marsh and Gisborne was so close for dinner. We loved the aesthetics of the fireplace, it made us feed very much at home.
Good communication prior to the visit. Easy check in process. Four stand alone villas, small but perfect for a couple. Breakfast was excellent. Gisborne is a nice town to visit as well.
