My family and I (partner, 2 adult sons, son’s partner) stayed at this property during the weekend of the Mudgee Bike Classic. The property was a great base for the weekend, easy distance to town and wineries and restaurants. Bedrooms (5) were roomy and beds very comfortable. 2 bathrooms with great showers and lots of hot water! Firewood was provided for the fireplace which we used both days we were there. Property setting is beautiful and we enjoyed great star spotting at night when the clouds cleared.
Thank you for a great stay!

Loved Gulgong, can't wait to get back and explore more of the area. Loved the look and feel of the town, so impressed with how the buildings have been maintained, gives a great glimpse back in time, to bad more places aren't preserved in this way.

A selection of outstanding museums in the context of a beautifully preserved historic town. The main street is delightful to walk along. Lots of wineries nearby to sample. Close enough to Mudgee to be convenient for excellent restaurants and don't miss the balloon ride at daybreak, it's brilliant.

The Pioneers Museum is interesting & extensive, even though there's a fair amount of repetition. The Holtermann Collection is well worth seeing. The 2 pubs we frequented (Centennial & Prince of Wales) had a good atmosphere & reasonable food. There's a good Thai restaurant for variety. Restaurants & pubs surprisingly busy for a country town.
The Drip (Goulburn River NP) is a lovely walk & not too hard; Hands on Rock (up the road from it) rather underwhelming.

A small historic village that has maintained its historic feel and look, yet offers all amenities that I needed. Plenty of places to eat and sip a coffee. We enjoyed a night at the Post Office Hotel - live music (not too intrusive) ,, lively atmosphere , really well cooked meal and, best of all, friendly, efficient staff.
The pioneer museum is massive and has something for everyone who enjoys delving into our history
The welcome from staff was friendly, the room basic but very comfortable and water pressure in the shower was great.
We were right in the middle of town, had access to off street parking and the beer was cold.
We were pleasantly surprised by how many venues were open in Gulgong on a Saturday night - all easy walking distance from our room.
The room was clean and what you would expect when compared to other motels around a similar price, I would stay again. Gulgong is just down the road from Mudgee (20 minute drive) so it’s a good spot if in the area and don’t want to pay Mudgee hotel prices. It’s short walk in to Gulgong centre for the pub/food in the evening.
Lovely Historic Town so much character & History, Excellent Motel centrally Located within the Town of Gulgong nsw, Very friendly staff, Clean and comfortable, lovely breakfast & coffee included in the room price, situated accross the road in a lovely old building ( Larsons ) Restaurant
Location was central to Gulgong and near enough to Mudgee to meet my needs. The rooms consisted of holiday style hotel units at the rear of the hotel. They were reasonably modern, functional and clean.
Quirky accommodation with a warm and friendly feeling, of many old souls through the doors.. The room was large and beds were super comfortable.. wished we had stayed longer...
Great little apartment located in the heart of Gulgong. Easy walk to everywhere in town and only 20 min drive from Mudgee. The apartment was very clean and comfortable
