Maryborough has the Brogla Theatre which is a very popular destination, accommodation wise Maryborough prices are cheaper than Hervey Bay. Hervey Bay is only a 1/2 drive, Maryborough has some nice restaurants, or pub meals, for better value prices. It's an easy town to get around, and nice to stay for a short stay.

Maryborough is a lovely country town to walk around with many beautiful traditional buildings. Fabulous and well kept gardens. Queens park is a must to visit and to walk by the river. Don't miss the Portside museum, Mary Poppins statue and the Mary Poppins figure on the walk and don't walk pedestrian signs at the traffic lights. Really helpful and friendly people with many comfortable cafes selling quality coffee and locally made savoury and sweet items. Fun, interesting Thursday morning markets with home made products and quality fresh produce to see and to buy. Overall, a traditional, friendly country town experience.

An historic town that is very under rated.
An historic town that is very under rated. Far too many interesting places to see in a short stay.
The museums/galleries were excellent - particularly the "Story Bank" - P L Travers (Mary Poppins) birthplace.

At the Carriers Arms, the meals were excellent, and the accommodation was value for money. Its location is ideal on the edge of the CBD and a short trip to the Brolga Theatre. The Brolga Theatre is also a perfect venue, just the right size.

We have been to Maryborough heaps of times, it is a lovely place to visit.
My Great Grandparents settled there when they came out from Ireland, my Grandfather was born there. I feel a connection with Maryborough every time we visit.
Thank You Cathy Barnes
It was homely; spacious but cosy at the same time. It was well situated to walk or drive into Maryborough, an easy drive to Hervey Bay or back to the Bruce to go elsewhere. A big garden, three bedrooms with good beds and two bathrooms makes this property a good choice for a group of friends or a family but it would be a well priced choice for a couple too. The outdoor area was lovely and the provisions of milk and bread was a generous touch.
the attendant who welcomed me was lovely. Made sure i was able to lock my door and had everything i needed. It is basic, but if you are looking for cheap with a good location for a one night stay, this is the place. Just off the highway, you dont need to go into maryborough. basic amenities but for a place to sleep, its fine.
Modern room looks reasonably new, comfortable. Very clean, quiet very roomy, lounge and plenty of bench space throughly room including bathroom.
Great Western hotel across the road very good generous meals. Motel has own restaurant but we didn’t use this time only because we had already eating smelt good.
Greatly underrated motel in Maryborough. Rooms smell clean and place is really well looked after. Has a pool and most of all the check in is the most efficient we've ever seen. At last a motel stepping into the 21st century catering for all arrival times
Very clean and comfortable. We were in Maryborough to trade at the Fraser Pop Festival, so this suited our needs perfectly. It has a full kitchen so we could cook our bacon eggs for breakfast before most cafes are open. Great location and nice and quiet.
A beautiful heritage building in the heart of Maryborough. The room was very clean, comfortable and quiet and the lounge and library were lovely. The host, Wendy, is very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast is also great.
Very well kept motel, far superior to similar properties in this price range.
Very friendly owner with the hard working Bella poodle there to welcome guests.
We will definitely stay here again if we visit Maryborough.
The cabin was well equipped for our needs. We really appreciated the large screen TV!! We were able to walk over the bridge to a local hotel for dinner and close to shops to purchase supplies.
Location was convenient to where we wanted to go. Beds were extremely comfortable and roomy. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Noise wasn’t too bad. Our room service dinner was delicious.
Very good hotel, well located, spacious, comfortable & clean rooms at very good price. I will definitely come back with my family and will recommend to anybody travelling in the region. Seb
Absolutely everything. We would definitely recommend staying at Cara Hotel. The staff are wonderful, the room was spacious, beds very comfy and it is close to the town and Hervey Bay.
Really spacious cottage style apartment right in the centre of Maryborough. Very clean and comfortable, everything needed in the kitchen and hassle free check in. Would 100% be back.
Ease of booking and registration at hotel. Basic, comfortable bed and shower for the night after our evening event in Maryborough. Off-street secure parking outside our front door.
Great cottage, very cosy & comfortable in a quiet location. Really appreciated the extra touches Jackie & Daryl provided. Highly recommend for a stay in Maryborough.
Perfect for a one night stay. Great customer service. Got upgraded which was really really lovely. Everything we needed was in the room and the price was very good
