Amazing location in regards to the beach, literally a 1 min walk. Good kitchen. Really nice staff. Lots of live-in staff, that keep the place clean. Was very empty when I was there but it was the off season. My 4 bed dorm was very comfortable, I was the only one in there for 2 of the nights. Might be a bit cramped with 4 people.

Size and location of property was fantastic.
Kitchen had everything you would need to feed a large group (we had 7 people staying) with plenty of crockery and cutlery and large-sized pots and cookware.
Generously stocked with extra stuff to use and borrow like board games, books, kids' bikes, bodyboards, beach chairs, esky etc
Both bathrooms, and the powder room, were large and clean.
Pet friendly with an enclosed safe garden space for the dogs

The very best location on Straddie as far as conveniences.
The very best location on Straddie as far as conveniences. Even if you have no transport the bus service takes you all the way from where the passenger ferry docks at Dunwich to Point Lookout. From Point Lookout you can walk to beautiful beaches, the incredible cliff board walk, cafes, the local fish n chip shops and grocery store, sand dune at Deadmans Beach and Whale watching platforms at Frenchman's Beach.

Amazingly beautiful part of the world. We were blown away by how gorgeous it was here. That said, we had perfect weather, and the ocean was warm, turquoise and relatively calm, so that was wonderful. Our room was available when we arrived early on the ferry...
Our room was available when we arrived early on the ferry and they notified us by text which was great. The location is perfect, with the beach across the road and restaurants within walking distance. The bathroom is small and downstairs from the mezzanine bedroom which we found annoying. There is only one TV in the lounge area, so none in the bedroom. Live to air TV was not available which was disappointing as we wanted to watch the AFL preliminary final. Netflix was available so that was good

We stayed close to Point Lookout in June and we saw dolphin pods and so many humpback whales migrating north . I would recommend staying at Cylinder Cove as it’s close to amenities the beach the world famous pub and other places are just a short drive away. It has amazing views of Cylinder beach which is patrolled by life guards. whether you are travelling for a romantic getaway, travelling with a group or a family with children this is very suitable for all. We are looking forward to coming back very soon

Every where you look is stunning and you get to see whales...
Every where you look is stunning and you get to see whales playing in the water and get to meet the local kangaroos walk ways and lots of viewing platforms and a very cool kids park where the kangaroos are grazing on the grass pretty nice .Mary Eve-lynCambodia
