I liked the swimming pool facilities the jucazzi and the sauna, I liked the restaurant/bar at the hotel. I liked the large shower in the room, I liked that the room had a sea view and that the reception staff were polite and welcoming. I liked that the broadband speed is fast, in the communal area next to the Derwent hotel main reception inside, Ping Speed 55ms Download Speed 326.64Mbps Upload Speed 93.35Mbps It deals with multi usage well, when not on Level 3, it deals with bandwidth well.

TLH Victoria Hotel - TLH Leisure, Entertainment and Spa Resort, hotel in Bishopsteignton

Just 3 minutes’ walk from Torquay seafront, the Victoria Hotel offers fine period features and extensive leisure facilities including indoor and outdoor pools, a luxury spa, leisure complex and gym.

The facilities are fabulous, huge comlex so enough room to accommodate a variety of ages. All staff are so efficient at their jobs, therefore, everything runs smoothly. We stayed in an apartment, which really helped make our stay cheap with buying food in and tea and coffee. I know the restaurant food is amazing though as we have stayed before. Location is perfect, quiet, but also convenient to the front where there are plenty more bars and restaurants.

A lovely quiet spot, but within easy reach of facilities.

A lovely quiet spot, but within easy reach of facilities. The staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. Our room was spacious, clean and well equipped. We also had our dog with us, who was made to feel welcome too. Our evening meal was fabulous, well cooked and very tasty. Breakfast had an excellent menu to choose from and again the food was excellent.

    Wonderful views.

Wonderful views. Easy access to Teignmouth, Shaldon and the Ness all with easy parking and lovely beaches. Jacks Patch Nursery is worth a visit and they have an excellent restaurant. Very friendly area. Great base for visiting all along the coastal area and inland to Dartmoor and surrounding villages.

Bishopsteighton itself was a surprise - 3 pubs; a vineyard and an historic church which has the graves of a number of Nelson's admirals in its churchyard. Great place to visit from with 2 miles to Teignmouth (which you can walk) beaches and train station. Trains on the riviera train line to dartmouth to the south and exeter and exmouth to the north. Exeter cathedral is well worth a visit. Just a minor point to note that the booking.com website identifies that the king size room has a bath - however only one room has a bath - ours had a shower (again not an issue for us). The booking.com site should say bath or shower.

Plenty of places to visit, even when the weather not too great. Beautiful views. Went on steam train for the experience and thoroughly enjoyed. Visit the Marble factory about 15min drive from hotel, amazing place and lunch was superb . Been to this area about 4 times over the last 5 years and have always found plenty of places to visit all within a short distance of travel.

Breakfast was superb - A lovely selection of yoghurts, fruits and cereals, followed by a Full English Breakfast with toast. Very tasty and nicely presented. Delicious coffee. Room - we had a gorgeously large room with a nice view over the river estuary. The bed was huge and very comfortable, with a very large en suite bathroom with a roll top free standing bath, powerful and spacious shower, with his and her basins. Decoration throughout the hotel was very elegant and tasteful, everything was clean and spotless.

This is a wonderful place to stay. Loved it from the moment we arrived. Very friendly staff, high end rooms, great food and great value for money. Extremely dog friendly and you will be met by Harvey the beautiful chocolate Labrador who is so friendly. Bathrooms have lovely toiletries, loved them so much we ended up buying some from Amazon, couldn’t believe how expensive they were. Overall an outstanding place to stay would fully recommend this hotel. We will we back for sure 🙂

We only stayed for one night before going onto Dawlish. We arrived early to a warm welcome and our room was ready. Our room was spotless and very comfortable. We had some drinks in the garden before having dinner. The food was amazing. Very tasty and very filling. Highly Recommended. Breakfast was served promptly in the morning and was adequate. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Cockhaven Arms.

Absolutely amazing stay in a beautiful hotel. Emma and her staff were all so helpful and pleasant nothing too much trouble. Lovely big light room with our own little terrace and a red hot radiator if was needed but it wasn’t as the room was lovely and warm. But further out from the town than we would have liked but a taxi ride was £6.50 so no problem at all!
