This is a proper Ye Olde World Hotel 🏨 if you prefer modern and a place with no atmosphere it's not for you.
The room we had was comfortable and cosy, with the window 🪟 open you get all the sounds of the countryside.
The staff, every one of them are so friendly and helpful, they make you feel welcome and at home.
The food is excellent, and the breakfast sees 👀 you through the day
Would I stay here again, YOU BET I WOULD...

The coded door access was really good as we were very late getting there (after midnight) ,due to hold ups at the rally we were at, which meant we did not need to go to the place to book in and for keys

Fabulous location!! Super clean and comfortable. Fantastic place to stay and we only wish we could have stayed longer. Have stayed in a lot of places in this country and abroad, and the Herring Queen is definitely in our top five places to stay. Extremely easy to access the property and lovely to see dog treats on entry - it means so much to be able to stay in such a fab place with our dog. Super views, great walks and places to eat all near by. Will hopefully return in the not too distant future!! Wonderful stay.

The hosts were excellent: very welcoming and helpful: nothing was too much bother.
The host cooked each person an individual breakfast based on an english breakfast.
Each bedroom has en-suite shower and toilet.
Lots of wardrobe space with enough hangers.
The 4 bikes were stored in a secure location.

Eyemouth is a generally quiet town, few shops, the beach is ok but the harbour is more vibrant and busy with lovely chippy and The Ship and Oblos are lovely for food. We stayed in Eyemouth because I knew it was a perfect base for travelling to other towns on the East coast. Eyemouth is worth a visit but don’t expect too much activity.AAnonymous - 10Scored 10

.We had a lovely big, bright clean room...tea and coffee making facilities were provided in the room and we each had a bottle of water at our bedsides. The host, Amanda was very helpful...she told us where we could get a nice breakfast, we followed her advice and went to The Waterfront cafe where they had a good selection for breakfast. We had a walk around Eyemouth and called in for a drink at the Tavern where the bar lady was really friendly. I would have liked to stay longer at The Ships Quarters. We used Eyemouth as a base to visit Lindisfarne, and it suited our needs well. The town itself was very charming to walk about and I would have liked to explore it further if we had had more time. The hotel seems to have an associated restaurant, where we had a very nice meal. There were various tasty options for breakfast places nearby.SusanUnited States

The hotel is very clean and quiet; note there is no restaurant or bar on site, although hot snacks are available from the adjoining shop. Extra teababgs and milk were readily provided upon request, although note there are no staff on site during the night, entry to the hotel at these times being by swipe card only. The hotel is ideal for tourists wishing to explore Eyemouth and the surrounding area.

Toiletries, towels and bedding were all included as was the use of bikes if we would have liked them. Everything was spotless and there was contact from the owner to ensure we had all we needed. It was in a great spot on Eyemouth Park Dean Resort. The site itself was also very clean and well cared for. We had free use of the local swimming pool and the walk along the cliff path and down into the town was great.
