The views were absolutely stunning and the hotel was clean, modern, and beautiful. The breakfast was one of the best ones we had during our trip around Crete. All in all every aspect of our stay exceeded our expectations in every way; we are not the type of people who visit the same hotel twice, but we might consider returning to Pela Mare!
Just 150 metres from Agia Pelagia beach, Alexander House Hotel features an outdoor pool with a shallow area for children, a restaurant, a main bar and a snack bar.

The stuff are super friendly and very helpful, they also managed several day trips for us.
The suites are very nice The first floor suites has more privacy than the ground floor as they aren't on the same ground floor as the garage area where everyone passing in the garage might peak a sneak look between the small tree fence to the ground floor suites, but the suites on the ground floor are two levels and are spacious space not for lazy people 😅🤣 you will exercise inside the suite going up and down .. hahahah also we were in end of April (before the season start) so actually not a lot of people were passing in the garage. And I liked that the bed is in upper floor in the ground floor suite so you can have a sea view from the bed ... you get the same view from the first floor suites as well.
The Bar, Restaurant for breakfast and dinner is great and the view from there is also the best view of the sea.
Can't stress enough how friendly the people are.

A small town in the bottom of this gorgeous bay.
A small town in the bottom of this gorgeous bay. There is a small promenade along the beach. Lots of taverns and with small souvenir shops and several minimarkets. There is even a diving and boatrent centre, so lots of watersports.

My wife and I stayed here for 4 nights in late August 2023 celebrating our 25th Anniversary and we were upgraded for free to a suite (Room 805). We chose the all-inclusive package which included all meals in buffet style, as well as draft beer, house cocktails, and wine. Name brand alcohol was available for a fee. Plenty of Greek food as well as options for picky eaters. 2 pools, but only the upper one has a bar for all-inclusive. The bar at the ocean level swimming area is not all-inclusive. There is a bus that runs round trip from the hotel to the center of Heraklion about every 1 1/2 hours. We would definitely stay here again!

Agia Pelagia is a great strip of beach compared to others we stayed at. Vibrant little town. Snorkeling is as good as it gets with those planks of seafloor, you'll gets crabs 10 or 15 species of fish and even octopi. Also for snorkeling do not miss Paliokastro next door, and beautiful beach.
The hotel location is in the middle of Crete , in case you want to visit Chania an amazing city on the port you need around 1hr 30 mns the same for the other side of the island elounda same travel time.
The property has an amazing full board buffet at the mains Resturant every day a different cuisine
The pools and the nearby by beach are awesome , the room we had was 111 a 2 rooms suite which as an upgrade from the hotel that’s highly appreciated for my first time in Crete . Staff are always helpful
Hotel is in a great location for spending leasure time. Two nice, rocky, beaches nerby. Sandy beaches a little bit more further. Great view on the sea. Nice spacious rooms, although a bit to scarceley equipped (a table, chairs would be nice). Lots of swimming pools. Great food in the all inclusive menu. Great personnel. Two car rentals nearby. Bus directly to Heraklion in front of the hotel. Good AC. Hotel is good for families, teenagers. It is rather not for a romatic time for a couple.
The apartment had everything we needed and was very clean. The kitchen was also well equipped and the air conditioner was working really good. The pool was very big, clean and offered many sunbeds with umbrellas. The staff is amazing and the whole hotel area is just pretty. There are many plants growing fruits and vegetables and we were allowed to pick some figs and grapes. I can recommend this hotel and would choose it 100% again if I would go on another trip to Crete.
Large rooms, swimming pool in hotel, VERY friendly and helpful hosts, traditional Greek simple breakfast (omelette, yoghurt with honey, tea, coffe, bread, marmalade, fresh orange juice), close to main beach, good location for walks through other interesting places and beaches, bus stop near 5min (use bus to out of the blue hotel from Heraklion), rooms cleaned every 2 days, towels included. Recommend to take quad safari after 6pm and (only sand) beach in Bali
What a place! Truly a retreat! It was our last destination in crete and we couldn’t have chosen a better place! They welcomed us with a delicious home made matcha tea and they upgraded us to a cave suite which was divine. The staff was very kind and supper attentive! Breakfast was delicious! And the view from our room and the hotel in general was breathtaking! We are definitely coming again!
Couldn’t recommend more!!! See you next year! 🤍
Really nice place to relax and enjoy Crete. Staff is extremely nice and welcoming. Breakfast is phenomenal, with different dishes every day. I really like that hotel is smaller, so it has some special charm. Location is awesome with really nice view.
Room is big, clean and comes with different amenities (coffee, slipers, shawing kit). Bed is comfortable.
Definitely one of the best hotels I've ever been to! I will definitely come again.
The host was very pleasant and accommodating. We had a great stay! The bed is very large, and there are extra pillows in the wardrobe. The apartment was very clean, had a great AC, and the best part was the huge terrace. It is located about 3/4 minutes of walking from the beach.
I would definitely recommend staying here, if you are coming to Agia Pelagia. It is definitely a great value for money.
The location is excellent. The hotel is on the beach. It has its own pool, sunbeds and bar.
The apartments are spacious and comfortable. They have large terraces with a view of the sea.
The hosts are very friendly and accommodating.
Agia Pelagia is a picturesque place. It is located in a bay, which guarantees that you will be protected from large waves and that you will always be able to swim.
The location was good, the resort itself provides stunning views and the bottom access to the beach was great. DJ plays next to the beach with very good bar services. Boats and other activities are available for hire which gives you something to do. The island is large so be prepared to trave 1.5 hrs + to see other parts of the island. The city center is 40 min from the hotel.
This place is really beautiful and very well mantained in one of the many mountains of Crete, some 18km away from Heraklion and close to nice beaches (Lygaria/Agia Pelagia). The People of the hotel is very helpful and kind. Great Breakfast and Food. It was amazing to see a nice place like this. The sea view and the sunsets were great.
Could quite possibly be the very best location in all of Crete for a beachside vacation! This property is really beyond compare and deserves even more stars - it is smartly designed, impeccably maintained, and host Maria is incredible! We hope we can return for another vacation here soon.
It is a beautiful spot. We arrived only a week and a bit after the flash flooding and it was really sobering to see the damage to the town. Laia is wonderful and her hospitality is outstanding. The most comfortable beds and pillows in our two weeks in Crete and the #1 shower.
Excellent 4 bedroom 2bath apartment near beach. Excellent view with private pool to cool off. Staff was very responsive to our needs. Residential area not within walking distance to restaurants. Aside from that I definitively recommended and would rent again.
George and his mother are gems of this place.
It is more about atmosphere and hospitality rather than hotel itself - you will feel like at home.
Good location, close to the beach, room is well equipped and clean
Would love to come back ❤️
Yannis the hotel manager and Kiki at the reception, took care of us from the moment we arrived and gave us simple excellent service, thinking down to the smallest details. Non-stop food, excellent service, excellent hotel.
Nice location,a village with lot of restaurants at walking distance ,bars and a nice beach nearby. Very kind staff, good breakfast, hotel restaurant with nice view. Great view from our room ,clean swimming pool
