Must to do: snorkling on the remains of the oldest town on the planet Pavlopietri. Unforgetable. Dont miss: dinner in restorant near the sea. It was very clean and better then I expected as booked it...
It was very clean and better then I expected as booked it the last minute travelling through. The position it’s great sea front and I could park my car outside and see it from the balcony. It might be busy in the summer. It was out of season so the town was quite. The ferry for Kythera is 200 yards away.

You’ll want to make this town more than just a stop-over for the ferry. It’s still very authentically Greek. The beach is wonderful and calm and the food is delicious. The whole town is very kid and family friendly, but not in an off-putting way for those of us young travelers. Για 2 is a nice little taverna that seemed to have the most Greek customers, it’s a little bit further down from the beach, but worth the walk.

We loved the shady garden with lots of seating for breakfast and evening drinks, and the big balconies with wonderful views over the bay. The inclusive breakfast was excellent with nice hot dishes and served for a long period until 10.30 or 11. Staff were lovely.
