We hated it. We felt unsafe, boxed in.
We hated it. We felt unsafe, boxed in. My friend is fluent in Japanese but even she was having trouble making the staff understand even small things.
It’s a love hotel. Very disturbing. Sextoy magasine, prostitute magasine, locked doors that only open when you call and ask the staff to open the doors.
Staff that didn’t understand. Making me pay for two rooms when giving us just one room.

Shizuoka city has the pleasant atmosphere of a sizable city with a country feel. I love Shizuoka and of course, that big mountain is always visible in the near vicinity when it's not hanging with its cloudy mates.

From a touristic perspective Shizuoka was just perfect for travelers who look for a more relaxing location. It was not full of tourists like you would expect seeing in Tokyo. But this also means that not everything is written or explained in english.
Shizuoka is a perfect stay location when you want to visit locations like Nagoya, Hamamatsu, Mishima or similiar (so places you would usually pass with a shinkansen from Tokyo to Kyoto)

Oku-oi kojo, Yume no Tsuribashi...difficult to get to, but worth it. A must visit for those who want to get on hanging bridges, unmanned stations in middle of a lake, train lovers, nature enthusiasts and of course kids who love Thomas.

We only stayed in Shizuoka for 1 night and it was definitely not enough length. We saw Mt. Fiji and beaches, and also experienced hot spring. We went to the waterfall as well. All of experiences were enjoyable.
Felt like a Japanese for a day! The house is very spacious and clean. It was decorated in Japanese style wich really impressed us. We went there by car so it was easy for us to reach the house. The host is very nice. She will appoint you to pick up the key at a store nearby and will lead you to the house. We have four people but we think the house would be able to fit more people than that. The facilities were awesome. We had a great experience there.
The hotel looks new and stylish. it’s in the centre of Shizuoka city. The onsen is small, but nice. Made with new materials and with a beautiful green wall in front of the bathtub.
Also during the breakfast the staff (a chef?) in the kitchen was extremely nice and he could speak English. He kindly explained us all about the dishes and recommended the best one - tonkatsu. All the food was very delicious!
I’d like to come again someday.
The people are really nice, they helped me a lot finding different stores etc., I would definitely stayed longer if I didnt had already booked a room few citys away. Best part of Shizuoka, you're pretty fast at the Bus Station and Railway, there is a nice quite Park area around and you can experience night life, Izakayas and Maid Cafés to it's best.
Room is clean and big enough for solo traveler. Hotel lobby is at 2nd floor but it was fine for me as I do not have any big luggage. It is also very close to Shinkansen station. For those that don't like walking under hot weather, this hotel can be a bit far from the JR. But that is not a negative point as there are also bus stops nearby.
The hotel is within walking distance of the train station. Very clean room, and we enjoyed the simple but satisfying breakfast. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Fantastic view of Mount Fuji from the hotel room! The bed was a little small,
but we had a good night sleep anyway.
I had a great stay. It was close to the station, easy access, the staff was friendly and accommodating. The capsule was almost like a personal room and was very clean. It had more privacy and more room than other capsule hotels I've stayed in.
The hotel is really in a good position, next to the main train station, and easy to find. The bathroom was super clean and full of beauty products! There was also free coffee in the entrance, which is always a plus :)
The hotel is facing directly to Mount Fuji. We booked a room with Mt Fuji view. Very worth it. We are lucky to have clear sky through out our stay.
And Hotel provides free shuttle bus from Shizouka Train Station
The hotel is about 15 minutes away from Shizuoka Station. The facade is a bit small. There is 7-11 on the left of the first floor, and the lobby is on the second floor. There are various equipments.
Bed mattress was very comfortable and the room was clean.
Although the hotel is located in front of the train station, we could get to see the beautiful mt.Fuji from the room.
Hotel Celeste reminds me of when I was living in Japan. It feels like coming back home with their homey room. The room is equipped with a washing machine which is very helpful.
Two short blocks from train station . Several restaurants and izakayas nearby. Hotel was a bit old but clean and well maintained. My room was spacious and comfortable.
Nice hotel! I liked the convenient location in a shopping area near Shizuoka station, it was a good deal, and the staff were friendly. The customer service was great!
The location is amazing as it is a short walk from the station, the amenities were superb I used the sauna every morning and night, they have Laundry as well.
the personal is nice and helpful
the position is perfect , right outside of one of the exit of Shizuoka station.
breakfast is very good, a lot of selection.
