A really nice hotel in a great location. Feels more like a 4-star hotel. Our king room had a fridge and great A/C (much needed!), checkout at 12pm.
Also a nice restaurant (we ordered the food to our room as the restaurant didn’t have aircon)

It was an ok stay. We were given the room literally next to the pool. After understanding that we wouldn't have quiet there, we requested to change the room and this was done with no problem. If you arrive early, like we did, they won't give you the room even if the hotel is empty, which is a bit annoying but understandable, just to pay almost a full night to check in early does not make sense.
Even so, they let us use the facilities with no problem before and after check in, which we were greateful for. There's also water to fill in your bottles.

The garden and pools of this hotel are amazing. The entire complex is like a Mayan town in the jungle. The garden is huge. Pictures don’t do it justice. The pools (multiple) are cooled and so relaxing. We saw many rare birds, howler monkeys and a crocodile from the garden and pool. Room was very large and clean. Restaurantje was amazing. It can look kind of tacky based on the pictures, but in reality this hotel is very beautiful. I’m glad we spent two nights here, we decided to spend an entire afternoon at the pool here because it was so nice.

Enjoyed visiting the ruins at Palenque, well worth seeing as they were in more of a tropical setting than some of the ruins we visited around Mexico City and it is still permitted to climb up to the top of some of the ruins. While visiting the ruins it was also possible to take a short jungle walk back down to the entrance. The town of Palenque itself was quite pretty with plenty of places to eat and the people were very friendly and helpful. We also took a trip out to Misal Ha and Agua Azul waterfalls which were interesting and fun as it is possible to swim in these areas.

I didn’t spend much time in the town, I was there for the ruins. Definitely take the tour though the jungle to see the ruins that are still covered with trees. Climb through the ancient Mayan Aqua duct, see the monkeys and try eating some termites. The whole experience in the jungle adds immensely to the site.
My guide was Victor, he speaks Spanish and English, very knowledgeable, well worth the money.

We stayed one night in town to visit the ruins
- had a good coffee
- nice evening walk in the town
- farmacies availeble
The ruins of Palenque was beautifull, due to construction/care-taking we could nog visist al the temples. I was sick at the time, but there were enough toilets on inside and outside the domain.
There is a second part more into the jungle where you can see more wild animals but my body was not up for that. As far as we could understand it does take a tour to do this second part.

You can spend weeks in that region easily, because there are too many beautiful things to visit and do. Waterfalls, Maya ruins, hours and hours of hiking in the jungle is all possible and must do. Palenque and Chiapas state offers lifetime adventures. Can rental is essential as the public transport is not really safe for tourists.

The big attraction for tourists to go to Palenque are the Mayan ruins nearby. The ruins are not that impressive. At the time of our visit, the area you could walk around was restricted to only the large buildings. Every few feet was a vendor selling all the same things as the neighbor vendor. This made it feel so commercialized and distracted from being able to enjoy the atmosphere of the ruins. Tikal blows this place away. The museum was pretty good. The town has a few shady blocks with some excellent restaurants in the tourist district, but the rest of the town is not all that special.
By far the best place we stayed at in all of Mexico! So comfortable and a wonderful staff and the sweetest house cat too! It really felt like a home away from home. The location was also magical, we stayed two extra days just to sit on the patio and watch all the exotic animals in the trees! This place was such a fantastic value and everywhere else had been a disappointment we’ve stayed at places that costed twice as much and weren’t half as nice! I loved Palenque and I will definitely return to Casa Hadassa!
Though the hotel is aimed at travellers with a car as the accommodation is right above the garage, you can easily get to the place without a car. It involves an 800m or 15 min walk through a pastoral landscape to the main road where there are frequent 'cooperative ' busses that will take you to Palenque or the archaeological site for 25 pesos, which I preferred to taking a taxi to and from the hotel. As others have told, the couple running the place are very pleasant together with their 4 year old girl.
I saw some reviews having some concerns about the hygienic conditions. To be fair I have to mention that the lady doing the housekeeping has done an incredible job, it's more the fact that the tenants are not diligent enough in keeping places clean for everyone.. Location is near the Autobuses Terminal and this brings a lot of convenience. I arrived Palenque at 7am with an overnight bus, the hotel allows me to check in early if there's an available bed.
The hotel and rooms are very comfy. The staff was exceptional. I asked to check out late because my bus was leaving at 6pm and there was a small fee but they made it happen. We ate ate the hotel and the food was pretty good and we also ordered drinks while at the pool and their Piña Colada's are awesome. The Hotel is a block away from the bus stop which was one of the reasons I picked it. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
We had a comfortable stay for 2 nights. We liked the location with easy access to Palenque ruins. There were also a couple of restaurants nearby. We had dinner two nights in a row at Paraiso and it was quite good - excellent pizza! Adriana made fresh and hearty breakfasts for us each morning and it was fun chatting with her about her work rescuing the monkeys. We enjoyed all the dogs and cats too.
Amazing rooms (with private outdoor areas including each having a private mini pool/hot tub) in the jungle. Lovely main pool. Very relaxing. Good breakfast, especially with option to have it brought to your private terrace. Great location on the road to the Mayan ruins. Very handy that the hotel accepts payment in card (rare outside the centre of Palenque)
Me and my wife had an amazing relaxing time. Nice ambiant, great atmosphere and quiet environment. Mostly we only had breakfast in the hotel and it was great, delicious and enough for a bufet breakfast. The staff was helpfull in everything we needed or asked for. Will come back again and highly recommend this hotel.
Magnificent quiet place in a forest setting. The rooms are extremely comfortable, arranged in a forest-like garden, with patio and hammock to enjoy the music of the forest.
The shower pressure, was powerful. The best I've had in Mexico!
The onsite restaurant is a blessing, and the food is excellent.
This was our third time to Chan Kah. We love it there. The pool is so picturesque, and this year there were baby monkeys playing in the trees near the pool. And, we also saw the macaws. We love the setting in the jungle, with our own private bungalow.
Pool was beautiful and room was very large.
Breakfast was good with a range of options.
The hotel organised a day trip for us to the Palenque ruins and Agua Azul which was great. (Miisol Ha was closed.) Cost 750 pesos and started at 9 AM.
Big surprise - we we offered free breakfast in the hotel nearby. Great common area with hammocks, lots of place to sit and take rest. Close to the bus station, great spot to start visiting Palenque and surroundings.
Nice lush and green grounds and clean swimming pool, kind and professional staff, the food was great and affordable. Could grab a colectivo right outside the hotel and it was convenient to the ruins and Aluxes.
The cabins are located in a peaceful area just outside of Palenque surrounded by jungle. There's a pool and lots of space to lounge around in the common areas. The rooms are small but comfortable.
Loved the location! And the staff was so welcoming and kind, we were very happy. It was easy to visit the Palenque ruins and other attractions from here - we had free private parking at the hotel.
Very nice hotel to stay in Palenque. Very friendly staff, which was trying to do there best to help, even my spanish is very basic. The hotel faces thejungles.
Very clean.
