I recently stayed at Inatel Manteigas and overall, it was a delightful experience. The breakfast offered was good. This is the best bed and breakfast I have ever stayed in. An astonishing beautiful historic Manor house, restored with immense care. The house has been in the family who own it and run it for hundreds of years. They are so customer focused that nothing is too much trouble. The house is pristine clean, rooms serviced daily, complimentary tea/coffee, and cake available in the lounge area. The bed was super huge and very comfortable with nice linens. The bathroom had tons of hot water, fluffy white towels and an actual bath, heaven. The breakfast is superb with fresh squeezed orange and a mixed fruit juice, pastries, local cheeses and all the normal goodies. We had a lazy day in their lovely garden on loungers by the pool after several hard days off road biking, just perfect. Manteigas is a very pretty town in the serra estrella mountains with several nice cafes, restaurants and I wouldn't hesitate to come back for a walking or biking trip in the area 10 out of 10! Obrigada!

The staff, although they spoke very little English, were super friendly and helpful. The room and bathroom were spotlessly clean. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The breakfast was superb with tea, fresh coffee, fresh bread rolls, ham, salami, cheese, jam, honey, fresh fruit and cake. There was also a pool to cool off in. It was located across the river from town in a lovely treed area.
