For the price, this is without a doubt the best hotel around. It’s 16 miles from Texarkana so I stayed here to stay out of the city crowd and riff raff. Had everything you need and very quiet location. Will be staying here again, in fact every time I make my trip there. The owner is very nice and accommodating.

Food was ok , Breakfast was self serve like other Hotels, but the lady working the breakfast area walked up to us and asked for our breakfast cup on I told her our breakfast came with our room. I was never given a cupon , I said do you think that we just walked in off the street with our bags right next to us to get a free breakfast? Then she brought us a receipt stating a total price for what we had for breakfast and at the bottom it said our breakfast was free but we already knew this because we were told this when we checked in. All this woman wanted was a tip based on the amount of money she printed on the receipt she gave us for our free breakfast. We always tipped the staff when we stayed at Hotels but at your hotel it was almost demanded. I did not like this.

The staff was friendly and professional. Our room was comfortable, clean, and quiet. There were several items to choose from at breakfast and they were all good.
We had a great stay, and we will be returning.

The town needs a 24 got restaurant like Denny's or a fine dining restaurant Our pizza was excellent from Pizza Hut. People were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the many trains that went by on the tracks. It has a two rivers museum.
