It’s been over 20 years since we’ve visited englewood and this visit we enjoyed with our daughter who just finished college. We were able to share all of our favorites, Englewood beach looking for shark teeth, Sharkey’s restaurant, etc. Englewood is close by to so many other places like Punta Gorda, Sarasota and Venice so having a place in Englewood as home base makes perfect sense and it’s not a crazy busy area so you can really relax!!!!! There are loads of places to eat nearby and hopefully on our next visit, the new restaurant at the end of the street will be open!

I love that Englewood is still a quiet “old Florida” town.
I love that Englewood is still a quiet “old Florida” town. If you want a beautiful beach this is your place. If you’re looking for nightlife, this isn’t the place…but it’s great for families and beach lovers

Englewood is in SW Florida about 1 1/2 hours south of Tampa.
Englewood is in SW Florida about 1 1/2 hours south of Tampa. It's a winter resort for northern residents. From November-April the town fills up with visitors. It's 10 minutes from the Gulf of Mexico. There are a lot of know nice things to do and see. Theatre, shows, wonderful dinner's at be Farlows Restaurant, shopping, walking the beach, beautiful sunsets and sunrises... It's a great place to vacation and lay back and relax.
The location was amazing! Beautiful views of the beach and close to restaurants. They had coolers, beach chairs, even an extra half bath in garage area off the beach, which was great, for beach days. The pots and pans were high quality. Unit had many spices, cooking spray etc. A lot of seating, in living room (reclining seats). Very nice deck, with another table/chairs set for dining and additional seating for watching the sunsets! There is a very small elevator, perfect for loading groceries and luggage, up to the unit.
Englewood compared to other locations in Florida is quiet, but that gives it a great deal of charm. We visited a Farmer's Market and met local people who were dealing with local issues. At the same time we could have bought local produce, listen to local musicians who were scattered around the market as we enjoyed excellent drinks. Near the property was a bar/cafe on the side of the creek (4 minutes walk) where you could enjoy a burger &chips washed down with a beer, all reasonably priced.
We loved our stay. The property is every bit as beautiful as the pictures posted online depicted. James is an ethical and very responsive host, which was greatly appreciated for any issues that came up. You can be sure that we will check here first for openings on our next trip to the Englewood area.
The beds were comfortable and the house is right on the beach. Easy access to the house with. Lock box. The location is great near good restaurants. I was allowed to use the laundry machines to wash our beach clothes.
There was no breakfast provided, however management did leave a dessert treat in the fridge. :)
The outdoor common areas were very pleasant and the "resort" did provide a very nice fishing dock.
The location felt very remote and cozy in a residential area. The beach was in it's natural state with many various style shells. The room had a full size refrigerator and nice size closet.
