The stay was great. The hotel is right on the strip with plenty of food spots gift shops and the beach is less than 5mins away! The room was clean, the halls smelled great, clean pool and sitting area. There’s nothing I can say bad about this hotel. Friendly clerk and warm breakfast.
Our 4 day stay was very pleasant.

There are no places on the beach with food or drinks available, like tiki bars beach side restaurants at least not that we seen,. The beach itself is very nice. There are many places to go and shop and eat if you don't mind driving around a little. Overall a good area.

We come here annually for the NCAA beach volleyball championships and for general relaxation. The weather was beautiful, the first time that it hadn't rained in our many trips here. The beach is clean, although parking close to the main beach is only moderately adequate. There are many excellent restaurants in Gulf Shores and Orange Beach and the choice of cuisine seems endless. If you like "southern" Mexican food this is the place for you as there is a disproportionate number of Mexican restaurants in this area. All in all, I recommend the Gulf Shores area as a great vacation destination point.

Gulf Shores is a beautiful area.
Gulf Shores is a beautiful area. The residents were very friendly in every establishment we went to. We ate at a different restaurant each night and never had a bad meal. There were plenty of things to go and do during the day but we enjoyed relaxing on the beach each day.

We just loved the beach.
We just loved the beach. We also visited other areas like the USS Alabama and Fort Morgan. We enjoyed the beach as it was not super crowded, we spent an entire day on the beach and was able to rent an umbrella and chairs for the entire day (great price). We did want to fish, but were a bit confused as to where to do that. We thought the pier but it was closed. We also have a service dog and the beach stated no dogs (we do understand why) but then we got to the beach and see people walking their dogs? The beach is soft and white and just fun to play in as well. The water was chilly but it was early march. We did get in though...because its the beach! Lifeguards were on duty most of the days as it was quite windy and seas were really choppy a couple of days. We flew our kite, built sandcastles, looked for seashells. Took night walks on the beach. We found great places to eat. Ralph and Kakoos over by the USS Alabama, Acme Oyster company (chargrilled oysters are a must), and the Gulf shore Steamer.....OMGOODNESS BEST restaurant!!! We had a seafood platter for 4 (there were 2 of us) and yes we ate it all, crablegs, shrimp, oysters, muscles, corn, potatoes, appetizer of crab cakes. oh and some alcholic drinks...yessss! and topped it off with keylime pie! This was a great rip!

Plenty of dining and shopping locations, and great beaches.
Plenty of dining and shopping locations, and great beaches. Too many great dining places to name, we tried a different restaurant almost every day and all were great and reasonable priced. Getting around Gulf Shores was very easy walking, driving, or biking.

Beautiful home, awesome views of the beach, sand, and sunsets even though construction was going on. No doubt, wish they would have already been moved out, but we still got to enjoy ourselves. Plan to stay there in the future.
The hotel charged us through internet $345, comparable to a high end resort for 3 days each. when we arrived there it was immediately obvious the this was no 'resort' but a motel. The hotel immediately reduced our one day price to <$140, and we only stayed one night despite reserving for 3 nights, and both of their elevators were out of order! We checked out next day and stayed at Island House Double Tree Resort Hotel on the beach for $350 per night. I believe they were dishonest in promoting themselves like a 4 star hotel!
Staff very friendly and accommodating. Housekeeping did a great job and was very friendly - unusually engaging and accommodating. Hotel is a little dated, but kept up and staff more than made up for that. Above all, the location is fantastic - no wooden walkways to traverse - this is literally right on the beach with beach sand right up to the hotel. Best beach access of any property we have stayed in. We will stay again when just the two of us (otherwise would choose a condo).
Great convenience to multiple restaurants, bars, shopping venues. Access to and beach was great, very clean and easy to get to. Heated pool and hot tub were great for the chilly air and both were very clean. Did not use the exercise area but it appeared to be very well equipped and very clean. Two elevators serving six floors and rarely a significant wait for one - they moved very well.
Every time that I visit Gulf Shores, I'm very excited to stay at Hotel Indigo. The ocean view is amazing, the hotel is always so clean. When you first walk into the lobby area, there's an amazing scent of freshness. The flowers are so beautiful, the entire property is well kept. My family and I was always greeted with a smile from the staff. Their service was outstanding!
House was perfect size for 15 people, even though the house is not right on the beach the location to the beach and pool were great. Plenty of kitchen supplies. Large beds were comfortable.
The rooms were clean, and very comfortable, and the staff was amazing. They went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Gulf Shores
It was a great location to get down to the beach. Was in walking distance to a seafood place that not only sold fish etc. but would steam or grill your purchases & a restaurant next to it.
The hotel is close to beach and a pool is great! In the evening i thought the pool would be cold, but it was not cold. I think they heat that up.! I am glad that i stay this hotel :)
Location was perfect! Staff was friendly and helpful. Clean hotel. This was our second stay within the last 7 years. I always choose this hotel when vacationing in Gulf Shores.
I chose the hotel because I needed one that is pet friendly. They are not. The manager accommodated us by declaring our dog a "service animal." Cudos to them for that.
We evacuated here from Hurricane Ida’s aftermath and it was the only place we could find before Labor Day weekend. It’s a fair, cheap hotel in a good location.
I loved the location of course and I liked how clean it was. It was a pretty nice and cheap place to stay in gulf shores without being to far from the beach.
