The Bird's Nest restaurant was SO good, we came back every morning and were never disappointed. Opens at 9 AM, closed Sunday. Most of the shops open at 10 AM, but some don't open until 11. Some shops are closed on Monday and Tuesday. There are shops from antiques to yarn, so everyone should be pleased. There's even a toy shop! You'll have a hard time choosing which fudge shop to go to, though. There are a few coffee shops, but the Chocolate Moose has ice cream too. I recommend the S'Mores and the Cookie Monster sundaes. It's at the edge of town, next to the gas station, right around the corner from Route 46.
My only caveat is to use care when walking, as the old fashioned sidewalks are uneven in places and some curbs are extra high.

A great place if you want a quiet stress free trip!
A great place if you want a quiet stress free trip! The town is perfect for a family. Shops close up early in the evening but staying at the Abe Martin Lodge meant there was plenty to do in the evening. Definitely check out “Ooeey Gooey cinnamon rolls and cafe”. If you are up for about a 30 minute drive, make sure to check out Columbus.

It’s a cute downtown area with boutique shops and restaurants. Can get busy and most restaurants are small so seating can fill quickly.
Bookstores, art gallery's, boutique shops and some antique spots. Close to Hardtruth Distillery that has tastings and tours plus a restaurant. Close to interstate exchange but traffic isn’t bad.
Good place for a weekend getaway.

Nashville was amazing and will definitely be back.
Nashville was amazing and will definitely be back. I will definitely not be staying at the Green Valley Motor Lodge. The doors did not lock, no staff at the door. Only a note with a phone number. No vending machines no pop machines Wi-Fi did not work. Room was clean is the only good part about this place.

We love the shopping in the town there is something for everyone. There are also lots of places to eat and drink. The Park is large and very family friendly. It is easy to get around after you find a place to park. They have country consorts this week end it was Randy Travis and the band. There is also a local theater in the center of town.

Our Stay was real enjoyable, our room was big, our bed was a king and very comfortable, has everything you would want to do, beautiful heated indoor swimming pool, play ground for the kiddos, putt putt golf, small sand box for the babies, long trails to walk, flower garden...
The restaurant was a little spendy, but everything is expensive now a days... Didn't want to leave but couldn't stay any longer...
Location was near the park and close enough to Nashville. The hot tub and jacuzzi were nice extras as well as the heater/fireplace. I thought the breakfast was great. My husband would have preferred ham or sausage to bacon and more bakery items and jellies, applesauce, etc. in keeping with what he has had before in Brown County.
We both enjoyed meeting the other guests.
I loved this place. It was so cozy. The inside of hotel is decorated so cute, the rooms were named. We had Wyatt Earp Room. There is a restaurant and bar downstairs. A band comes in to play from 8:00-11:00. The food was so good! The peanut butter pie was to die for. There is a fire pit, games to play. The atmosphere was amazing and staff was so friendly and accommodating.
Dinner was excellent. Everything we were served was above average. The room was clean and comfortable. The balcony afforded a good view of the volleyball, putt-putt and shuffleboard courts. The enclosed pool was well-lit, clean and open until 11pm. A short walk and we were on the main street of shops in Nashville.
The room was clean, we especially like the laminate floor instead of the regular gross carpet in hotels. The bathroom was bright and modern with plenty of towels. The window seat was really nice, my daughter instantly loved it for reading and watching the few birds that were bracing the cold weather.
The view was great especially the stars at night. The location was perfect. It was far enough from town but close enough to be there in a few minutes. A lot of restaurants and shopping in Nashville nearby. It was quiet and peaceful. It seemed to be located on a tall mesa inside of a big valley.
I liked the number of beds/baths for our party, and that we be of the bedrooms and as on the main floor. We he property was very accommodating for our needs. I like the proximity to Nashville and Bloomington. Even tho this is a very rustic cabin, I liked the modern decor inside.
The room was so spacious with classy furnishings and a decent kitchenette. Third floor was accessible with no steps from the parking lot. Great access to downtown Nashville. Would definitely stay here again.
Luckily we had planned to explore Nashville so it was a very good location. I liked that the attendant was friendly and accommodative, had parking near room, room was clean. We were able to rest well.
We liked the gardens the Hotel was set in and area around , unfortunately with the heavy rain we had we were unable to enjoy them . Having a balcony made it better, as we could sit out.
.
A decent little basic place, modest with few amenities, located midway between Nashville & Bloomington along Rte 46. Comfortable beds, friendly & attentive host.
