Old and outdated, mattress was lousy. Towels old and frayed. Plastic cover under sheets very uncomfortable. Rug on floor was curled up, tripped over it many times

Jen's diner is wonderful the sausage gravy and biscuits, pancakes and eggs were delicious.
Best little diner I've ever been to. Service was awesome.
Walmart was crazy busy didn't have enough register open or self check outs. Bathrooms were disgusting.

This was our first visit to the city.
This was our first visit to the city. Unfortunately with this pandemic we didn't get to enjoy as much as we wanted. There are so many restaurants we'd like to try. We love that there's a Baskin Robbins. Y'all have a lot of everything in your town!!

Our group actually only traveled to Poplar Bluff for the hotel room. We spent the day in Van Buren tubing/rafting the Current River.
Van Buren is not a large enough town to accommodate many tourists.
Poplar Bluff is a nice, cheap city to sleep while enjoying the river.
Free breakfast and discounted dinner from the attached restaurant was amazing! Staff was so very courteous. Lela was the front office attendant and she was so polite and worked with us even while the phone was ringing off the hook and multiple people at the counter. Beds were great, sheets were soft, room was perfectly cool and the whole Hotel was exceptionally clean.
The best thing I can say about this place is, it didn't smell bad. The lobby had typical "aging hotel" smell. But the room was pretty neutral in smell. The bed was comfortable enough, although the mattresses should be rotated a lot more often, as the "outside" was worn in/out while the "inside" seemed fairly "new".
I received great customer service from Hannah at the front desk! Modern room with convenient USB charging ports, small refrigerator with freezer for ice packs and a large TV. There are lots of restaurants and shopping just a short drive from the hotel.
Clean hotel with very friendly staff who always did their best to make sure the guests had everything they needed. The 5:30 food and drinks as well as the full hot breakfast was a great added value to the room.
Staff was exceptional. We felt very comfortable and at home. Loved that they were Pet friendly as we have stayed at another hotel in town and they Charged $50 for my 7 lb dog where Motel 6 charged NOTHING!
Horrible experience. Rude front desk hag! Tried to charge me more than confirmation price. Room was in bad shape, see pictures. Lousy room for the price. Will never stay at this hotel again!!
We stay here anytime we pass through, our favorite hotel in the area. Love the complimentary happy hour and dinner snacks, really helps settle us in. Very friendly staff.
