the best Hostel in all of Egypt without a doubt. the owner Gandi is a very kind man, he recommended the best places in town at an affordable price, he organized tours for us and answered all our questions, he even ordered us food when we were too tired to go out. best thing : you can rent kayaks for 100 egp for half a day to explore the Nile, there is a roof top with a superb view and also a space on the edge of the Nile to swim, we went there every day . I found back here the real soul of hostels which combine conviviality and good atmosphere. the common areas prelude to meeting other travelers very easily, I went there alone and I met people from everywhere the we traveled together throughout all Egypt afterwards. this Hostel is a gem of gold !

If you come this far to read these comments and you have an opportunity to stay at Bassam's place, please do not think anymore, I promise you will not regret it. The guest house is located on the west bank just two minutes walk away from the ferry that takes you across the river to the east side where the city is located. So if you arrive in Aswan by train is only a straight 3-minute walk from the train station to the ferry, and then another 2-minute walk to the guesthouse. It's located in a Nubian village away from the hustle and noise of the city. The owner Bassam is the friendliest person you will ever meet. He always ensured that we have everything we need, and he and his family went above and beyond to make an unforgettable experience and it felt like a home away from home for us. We were visiting during the holy month of Ramadan and Bassam and his family invited us to join them for Iftar which was truly amazing. We also went on a half-day tour with Bassam to Aswan Dam and Philae temple which I highly recommend and he also organized a tour to Abu Simbel for us which was also perfect. The rooms were nice and clean and the air conditioning was working great but the highlight in my opinion is the rooftop terrace where you can relax and enjoy the view.

Everything was great, super nice staff, delicious breakfasts, localization far from the noise of the city but close to ferry so it's easy to go to the city center.

Wonderful host. I just cannot praise David enough. He is happy to help you any time of your stay. The hostel is nice and friendly. They have a wide variety of rooms and communal areas, including a kitchen.

Perfect location is located in the heart of the Nile and near Philae temple.. the hostel offer you a Nubian food and lovely trips to Abu semple with a shared car, Recommended if you search for a local life in Aswan with a real Nubian people

This accommodation is perfect for relaxing and spending quality time on the banks of the river. The attention from the staff was very good, all very helpful and hospitable. We would have liked to stay longer in the accommodation. It has its own restaurant. It has breakfast service and it is very complete. Mahmoud was a great host and helped us with everything we needed.
