Located in Wilpattu and with Kumbichchan Kulama Tank reachable within 34 km, Glamping Wilpattu by Thamaravila provides express check-in and check-out, allergy-free rooms, pool with a view, free WiFi... Priya and his team couldn’t do enough for us and was so attentive with utmost understanding and kindness to our 22month old daughter. The food was fine dining at its best and kept making the chicken soup my daughter couldn’t get enough of. Priya’s knowledge of the wildlife in the park was great and again focusing on wildlife our daughter could see.

Situated in Kalpitiya, 2.7 km from Kudawa Beach, araliya villa provides accommodation with a fitness room and an open-air bath. Everything was amazing. The hosts are really caring people and kindly hearted. More than just staying in a place I felt that I was at home and with family. The place is super quite and surrounded by nature. There are many birds around and the sounds of the frogs at night after a rainy afternoon is wonderful. There is also a nice area for meditation and yoga if is your thing. The room was very clean and confortable and also chilly during the hot afternoon. The common area/dining place is perfect for chilling and enjoying the meals as well, which are super tasty and full of Sri Lankan tastes. There are small shops around where you can get some snacks, fruits, paratha and others.

This fan-cooled tent has a safe, dining and sofa seating areas. Private bathroom comes with a shower and free toiletries. Leopard Trails was a great spot for the safari drives in Wilpattu. Our host Malmi was very friendly and helpful for our stay, including being our guide on the safari drives - he was very knowledgable and made such an effort with all the wildlife spotting to ensure we saw as much wildlife as possible. The food was delicious with lots of great Sri Lankan dishes. Our room was a tent style room which was comfortable and an enjoyable experience. The camp is in a beautiful, secluded spot. The dinner set up was great - when we came back from the safari drives there was a bar set up for our welcome back, and our table was set up for dinner so nicely with lots of lanterns and a fire, giving a fun and atmospheric environment. The camp is small with 5 tent rooms so the service was nice and personal.

This unique tent is set on the border of the National Park and comes with a private bathroom. Awesome hospitality. Great location. Go for Mahoora preferably as it is more spacious than the Big Game. Day time is warmer but the night is really cozy. Thusitha is great host - very humble, prompt and accommodating.

The tent offers a private entrance, a tea and coffee maker, a terrace with lake views as well as a private bathroom featuring a shower. The unit offers 2 beds. From the very beginning the communication with the host was seamless, they made sure we find the location and picked us up with a jeep where the road started to be too rough for a normal car. The whole experience was amazing, my spider enthusiast son found a soulmate in Ranil, a conservation biologist who runs the place while engaged in fascinating research projects. The food was always freshly made and delicious, the tent was comfortable with beautiful surroundings. As a special treat, Ranil's dad joined us on our safari and shared his wealth of knowledge about the anilmals in Wilpattu National Park, including the leopard couple we spotted on a tree. Thank you for the amazing experience, we felt like we were part of the family.

The fireplace is the standout feature of this tent. The tent features a washing machine, a private entrance, as well as a private bathroom boasting a walk-in shower and a bath. Wilpattu Green Cabin is a small and friendly family-run establishment in the countryside near Eluwankulama. It is accessible by tuk tuk from the Elwulankulama bus stop. The drivers will know where to go. (It’s about 5 minutes away.) Wilpattu Green Cabin is located right on the Lunu Ela River (I think that is the name) and is a lovely and relaxing spot to take a break. They have two new bungalows with a fan, mosquito nets and veranda that face the river and are spacious, clean and comfy. They also have one room referred to as “the treehouse“ which was entirely crafted out of sustainable “green“ materials. It is more cozy than the bungalows but it is super adorable and has a wonderful vibe. Be prepared to climb a ladder! It costs a little bit more than the bungalows but worth it! They also have a couple air con rooms that are kind of dark and do not face the river in case you absolutely need your AC. You will probably want to purchase lunch and/or dinner at Green Cabin since there is no other easy option but no worries, the meals are tasty and filling. Breakfast was included. The establishment is run by a friendly fellow named Riswan, his brother, sister-in-law and others. Riswan will arrange a Jeep safari to Wilppatu National Park if you like. You can also take a long pole boat ride up the river to look for birds. I did both the Jeep safari and the long pole boat ride and thoroughly enjoyed them. Of note: there is an elephant that sometimes swims the river and sneaks into the adjacent rice paddy for a midnight snack! I would definitely book another stay at Wilpattu Green Cabin, especially in the treehouse!

Stylish and eco-friendly, Dolphin Beach features luxurious tents next to a private stretch on Alankuda Beach, Sri Lanka. magic way to end our 3 week trip to Sri Lanka; with a couple of nights ar Dolphin Beach. Pool was the kids favourite and in the sand; with magical sunsets. Family tent was great and everything worked and the Dolphin boat trip in the morning was truely amazing

Featuring carpet flooring, tents come with an outdoor living area and a private bathroom with hot-water showers. Includes a torch, umbrellas and a luggage rack. Beautiful setting. The camp is very spread out and the tents are spacious and clean. I’ve camped all my life and this did not disappoint as it was very luxurious comparatively. Keep in mind it’s still camping but the tents have all of the comforts of home with a full shower and bathroom as well as a sitting room. Upon arrival we received welcome drinks and were given a very informative orientation where they went over the tents, meals and meal options, afternoon tea, night and morning walks as well as the safari options. We chose to go with the full day safari and it did not disappoint, we saw a variety of birds, many deer, water buffalo, a sloth bear and three leopards(a mother and her two cubs). The bbq dinner was fantastic as we sat around a camp fire which was a gorgeous setting. The morning breakfast was also special and incredibly romantic. The staff was top notch and catered to our every need. This is a must experience if you love camping. The tents has no ac but a great fan which made for a good night sleep.
