The lodge offers an American or vegetarian breakfast. The hosts welcomed us very warmly and helped us with booking our tours to Rio Celeste and Cano Negro (which we had with Juan Rio - one of the nicest tour guides we‘ve ever had!). The tree houses are just amazing and inmidst of nature. We‘ve got the chance to hear and see jungle‘s wildlife and you even have the option to swim in the Rio Celeste near the accomodation for free! Also big thanks to Odir, who offered us a free ride at his new opened adventure park! We would recommend everyone to stay at the Katira tree houses, when visiting Rio Celeste!

Breakfast is available every morning, and includes à la carte, continental and American options. At the lodge you will find a restaurant serving local and Grill BBQ cuisine. Vegetarian and dairy-free options can also be requested. This is a family-run business who cannot do more for their guests! All of the staff were so lovely, helpful, and informative about nature including giving us fruit picked from the trees! The breakfast every morning was delicious (defo go for the typical Costa Rican breakfast) cooked by the owners. We also ate from their restaurant which was YUMMY! Thanks to Chalets Silencio , we had a perfect stay with you! The nature here is breathtaking, the flowers, trees, fruits and so many animals!!! Note that the location of the lodge is outside of downtown La Fortuna but it was perfect for us as that's exactly what we wanted for two nights before moving to a downtown location :)

Jay and Noela are the most amazing people and the passion they have cannot be explained, only experienced. The night walk was out of this world and the knowledge that were shared will always be treasured. Noela makes the most amazing food and natural juices and everything about our stay was exceptional. Too bad we can only rate 10 and not 100. Absolutely, absolutely recommended for anyone.
