Well appointed property and a spectacular view. We extended our stay by adding another night as soon as we checked in. Modern amenities with a private pool and well equipped kitchen, breathtaking sunsets, stargazing at night - it was great value for the money in every way.

Offering a outdoor pool and sun terrace, Cerro Lodge is located in Tárcoles in the Puntarenas Region. Guests can enjoy a meal at the restaurant and free private parking is available on site. We really like the site, very quiet, the resort is really well designed. We have a beautiful view, we love the little pool. We saw macaws, monkeys. Breakfast was good. Very good restaurants (italian pizza, all our meals exceed our expectations).

From £35 per nightIt’s in a quiet fishing village by the beach and is a haven for birdwatchers with Red Macaws in the garden amongst a host of other birds evident by the visit of guides with parties of birdwatchers and has the local Carara National Park just down the Road. The staff produce good and substantial meals and are always ready with any help required. 5 star hotel in a 5 star resort it is not but if you enjoy Costa Rican birds and wildlife together with a trip to the Pacific cost then don’t bypass Tarcoles and The House of Macaws

Hotel Cerro Lodge is an absolute bargain and a great place to stay at. The room was clean, with good facilities, and the hotel itself was in lovely grounds, with a nice pool and friendly staff. The restaurant served reasonably priced, good food, and the service was great. The TV in the room worked well and had lots of channels. The hotel was located very close to Tarcoles Bridge and Carara National Park for those who wish to visit, and was quiet in the evening.
