Boasting a terrace, restaurant and views of city, The Secret House - Adults Only is set in Jaisalmer, 1.3 km from Jaisalmer Fort. We loved our stay at the Secret House! It is a beautifully decorated haveli and Naru, the owner welcomed us with a beautiful flower threaded necklace. As we were going on a desert safari the next day, he kindly agreed to let us leave our main bags at the haveli, to collect on our return. His other staff members were fantastic as well, with one of them waking up especially early on the morning of the camel safari to help us get ready. All in all their warmth and kindness cannot be faulted.

Well set in the Gadsisar Lake district of Jaisalmer, Fort Villa is located 200 metres from Jaisalmer Fort, 700 metres from Salim Singh Ki Haveli and less than 1 km from Patwon Ki Haveli. The hotel was stunning. It felt like a luxury property, as it had been renovated from head to toe while still retaining its historical charm. The manager was very accommodating and let us check into our rooms early. The breakfast was cooked to order and served on the lovely terrace. This hotel is a gem.

We liked everything, the rooms are nice, cozy and clean. The location is perfect - everything is in walking distance. We prolonged the stay twice and ended up staying a week. The staff (especially Guman and Akbar) really went the extra mile and supported us were they could. We were sick for a couple of days and they helped us a lot. The desert safari is great, too! Really recommend to do it including overnight stay if you get the chance.
