Katowicessa on todella kiinnostava kulttuuri- ja museokeskus Sleesian alueen museo hieman keskustan ulkopuolella. Ehdottomasti kannattaa käydä vanhalla kaivosalueella, jota vielä kunnostetaan. Kaupungissa on myös edustavia funkkis- rakennuksia, jotka tuovat mieleen suomaiset vastaavan ajan rakennukset. Kävelemällä ne löytää. Kaupunki-infossa on rakennuksista ja niiden historiasta hyvä esite. Neitosilta kannattaa tivata nähtävyyksiä, sillä automaattisesti he eivät paljon kertoneet.
