Super helpful staff, great location, delicious meals, very convenient. Wonderful atmosphere at the hotel thanks to great olden feel architecture.

The hosts will graciously drop you into town if you ask. About 40 minutes drive to Alishan. The hosts will help you get to public transport, although we drove. Make sure you ask the hosts to try their tea. Be aware the hosts have limited English but use Google Translate very well!

Kim from the frontdesk was amazing, very lovely, helpful and friendly. She provided us an itinerary for rainy days which was nice. We received a free upgrade to a room with bathtub. The room was 1 hour before check-in time ready. It was located at the end of the corridor and was quiet, no noise from the corridor or neighbors. It was very clean, the bathroom equipped with a Japanese toilet and linnen also. Beds are very comfortable (for European standards), size is about 160 x 200 cm and we loved the black out curtains. AC worked perfectly and quiet. Western and Asian breakfast available which is different every day, not too much choice but just enough. At the breakfast area you can get free snacks and tea/water throughout the day. Free umbrella service available for rainy days. Recommended!
